What's a reshelled 360CS worth?

I think there were 2 of these..both 997 in Orange. A friend of mine in Norfolk bought one of them, from a dealer in Lincs. He sold it back to them a few months later not realising it had been re-shelled. Then, completely coincidentally, my brother-in-law in Lincs bought it from the same dealer. He drove around quite happily in it for a few months. One day he stopped in at a prestige car dealer and casually asked what they'd give him for it against an Aston. They put the reg. no. in Google and said 'er, not a lot...do you realise' etc etc.
