Actually I wouldn't have ordered shields on my 599 from new. It's black with red brake callipers and red inserts on black Daytona seats. One look and I was sold. In my weird OCD kind of way I felt like the yellow shields would have clashed with the red. It's sad...but I'm happy!

probably to appease people like me who see them as a bit tacky
Fair points well made You're both right, they are subjective and I can see where on some conbos, or when trying to keep a relatively low profile, they would stick out. Hope no offence caused.

Just seen a yellow one on auto trader.
Will take a look
The yellow one on auto trader is the flat non metallic Giallo Modena however the pic posted above is the triple layer paint Giallo Triple Strato which was I think around a £15k option at new so both very different shades of yellow. Will take a look
I went for a car with full electric seats which include heated and memory seats with full electric bolsters etc - I never really liked the Race Seats much and the Daytona seats looked dated (carried over from the F430). The heated seats were a must for me as I won't be storing the car in winters and plan to use it

Yellow would be my favourite colour and I initially went looking for a yellow one before "settling" for Rosso Corsa. On balance I'd go for the flat non metallic yellow as opposed to the triple layer one just because mine is being used not garaged (and I am not suggesting of course that anyone else's isn't) and inevitably I may pick up dings and stone chips (I lost a windscreen to a big stone impact 2 weeks ago) and the triple layer metallic yellow while fantastic beyond doubt, is apparently a bit of a nightmare to do any touch ups with. I may of course be wrong, as this was explained to me by a dealer who wanted to sell me a "plain" yellow one.

Missing a few options the yellow one.
No TPMS system
No folding mirrors
No front or rear parking sensors
Still interested though looking at a couple of Roos Corsa one with cream and one wth black leather.
Both have Daytona electric heated seats.
Could live with NO TPMS and Parking sensors but the folding mirrors is a must IMHO. No TPMS system

They suggested protective cover, live with any chips and expect a respray on front bumper, bonnet, etc prior to resale. The cost of respray was also going to be ridiculous compared to my previous Rosso cars, so I stuck with Rosso on 458....easy life, couldn't be bothered with the hassle (Also my wife thought the the Triple Yellow looked like a sherbet dip!)
Hi
No not standard on the 458, £930 option.
Looked a 3 cars that I liked, all had over £30K of options one even had £40K of options but no TPMS.
I really wanted the TPMS not just for the pressure readings but for the Tyre temperature.
I found I used it alot on my California.
I would have thought the original selling dealer would have advised the TPMS option.
Managed to find one with all the options I wanted. Only missing the Carbon fibre centre tunnel which I am having fitted prior to the car being delivered.
