I am a Clarkson fan but I didn't like that article. Too much waffle not enough on the car itself.

He sounds bitter.
Spot on. I'm not looking for social commentary in a car review.

Dear Jeremy

People are not letting you out at the junction, because it is you in a Ferrari.
Kate Moss will get a different reaction wink

Strange comparison. But isnt that because men just find her sexualy attractive?
In the same way that women would not let Ann Widdecombe out of a junction in a ferrari, but would let out David Gandy.
Mmm Ann Widdecome biggrin

there's barely a 488 review within that article, I know that's clarksons style but still, meh

IMO Lamborghini made a horrendous mistake and did lasting damage to the brand last year in letting the press test drive the SV but not to invite customers who had ordered it - whats more the car was sold out so why did they even bother?
Two reasons:

The Halo Effect - the extra press publicity around the SV pushes those that can't afford one (or missed out on the limited allocation) towards other "lesser" models in the range.

Building the Brand - so many of these limited edition hypercars get squirreled away by unappreciative rich owners as investments. Without press exposure brand awareness would decline.

Less strange than one would think. They both smoke like chimneys when we spotted them in Hertford St winkbiggrin
Now remind me, what was that little thing Ann liked to do.....

To be fair to him that's the style of the Sunday times reviews he does for the past 20 ? years, more of a humorous read than a full on road test, always been like that.

Two questions:

(1). How you get beyond the Times paywall or is Clarkson outside it?

(2) After years of his "flappy paddle" nonsense is he now happy with a paddle shift? Seems so.

No. A simple 3 word question. Into which you have somehow read some imaginary cynicism.

His books that are made up of collections of these "reviews" make for great reading whilst your hanging around airports waiting to catch a plane somewhere.

They're entertaining and the chapters are short enough that you don't get bogged down reading whilst you wait to board.

I think it's the usual clarkson review, and a good read, he has got a piont some people are very bitter in UK and hate to see people being more successful than them, but that's just a minority. See how everyone mocked with glee when that guy crashed a white 458 into a wall the other week, this is a good example and it wasn't even his car.

Kate Moss out for a drive on a Sunday morning looks very different to the Kate Moss you see in an ad/photo............

I've met her a few times. You wouldn't give her a second glance. She had something going for her as a teenager and in her 20's but that ships sailed. The last time I saw her she was particularly rough. Better looking women/mums at my niece's school. I'm amazed she still gets work.

For sure, yet she's still a decent gap away from JC on a Sunday morning biggrin
