Multi storey car parks

In your mid engined Ferrari. Leaving aside the issue of security, could you actually get a 430 say up the narrow ramps and into a multi storey.

Cant help but remember the Top Gear episode with, I think, a Lambo and an underground Paris car park.

Depends on the car park. I've seen plenty of Ferraris in the Q-Park at Criterion Place on Swinegate in Leeds. Admittedly though, these have been the more modern ones with smaller front and rear overhangs. A Testarossa (for example) might struggle to transition onto the inclines without its front 'skirt' scraping the ground.

Surely with the lift systems it should be no issue?

355 could get in and out of most and I think it has less front clearance than the 430

So I know that a zonda is a problem and the ferrari is marginal - in Paris. But whats the experience in the UK or does no one take their car int a multi storey

Personally Howard, I'd be more worried about the very real prospect of people slamming their doors into your bodywork than the risk of (fairly minor) scraping. As mentioned above, V8 models superseding the 355 do have more clearance unless you're talking about the special editions. I'd also be concerned about the tightness of multi-storey parking, high curbs and the limited rearwards visibility of your car. Just my thoughts of course...

I once took a Monaro into a particularly tight multi story with high curbs and limited visibility. I managed to get through without damage but only because my passenger had his head out of the window, guiding me through the tight bits.

I really wouldn't fancy it in my 360, especially as it's been lowered 15mm.

The same as ours and certainly of the same mindset. I won't even leave our 15yr old Boxster at the mercy of careless owners in car parks if I can help it, so the Ferrari doesn't even figure.

Thanks Kyodo. I dont plan on using a multistorey, just wanted to know if it was possible in case I had to use one.
