One of those dodgy rental places around the Ferrari museum in Maranello. Good use of 50eu since I've been thinking for a while now about jumping from GT2->458 Italia but as yet not driven one. The geezer was a car/bike nut like me and was really interested in the GT2 so I guess was happy for me to try and test it on decent roads.

Obviously LHD on unfamiliar roads but a few nice sweeping bends thrown in and the guy was happy for me to rake it out through the revs and corner nice and hard.

Really enjoyed it, but now I'm thinking it might just be a little bit too shouty for me. Lovely poise though and this one had 90k KMS on it yet was tight and sweet without many cockpit rattles. Very impressive considering it's been abused by knobs like me (and worse) all its life.

I'm thinking on balance even if a bit "look at me" it's going to be the right way to go but definitely in an understated colour not red or yellow. Modern, fast, achingly beautiful, engaging to drive.

Yes I don't like black as a car colour at all, silver - meh - but the darkish grey looks great and subtle. There's quite a nice blue too but I just couldn't smile
