They can't sell this car, they have had it for months and months and keep reducing it. My concern is that if I bought it I wouldn't be able to sell it without taking a massive loss on it.
I was the previous owner on this and traded back in. Car drove great and was in perfect nick. I am a right fanny and had everything perfect. Simply dealer selling at realistic price as a few owners and 20k mileage. It's hardly been sitting there for months as I only give it back to dealer in early March..... so 2 months actually! Get it bought and enjoy.

Thanks Gary, I'm just waiting for dealer to get back to me and then going to hit them with a cheeky offer!

~20k miles (some say 30k for newer models) on a Ferrari is big mileage. It is a f***edup situation, but that is how the market acts. Prolly best to hold out for a sub-10k miler.

Seems a good honest car

20k miles in 6 years is hardly globetrotter material. Anyone would think Ferrari's fall apart if you drive them that many miles whistle

The low mileage ones have probably been clocked TBH so always check the condition mirrors the speedo mileage

Don't hold out for a low mileage one if you intend driving it. The advantage of this particular car is that it's gone over the "soft limit" of 20k so is already at the point where it's outside that "low mileage" market. You could put 10k on it and I doubt it would make much of a difference to the price. Whatever you do don't buy a garage queen at a premium price and then put serious miles (any miles on a really low one) unless you enjoy losing money...

For what it's worth Graypaul Edinburgh cars always seem to be keenly priced relative to other main dealers, have seen quite a few nice cars there at £5-10k less than further south.

Only thing of substance this is missing really is the carbon driving zone, but it has the LED wheel so no big deal. Decent spec, 2 year warranty and might even have the 7 year service pack and 2011 dash display change if it's late enough.

Don't be surprised if they don't budge on the price, it is keen imo.

Get it bought! You've missed three glorious days of perfect Ferrari driving sunshine just last week.

Edit: Just noticed it does have the Service Pack, bonus.

Shame, looked a really good buy. How much do you think it sold for?

Makes sense. In my experience (at this price point) when you come across a sensibly priced car there's normally only a couple £1k's to be had at best.

In my experience if it's within your budget and a decent spec - don't hesitate. Particularly if it's at a main dealer (relatively low risk with the warranty and big glass building you can walk into and shout at people inside).

The main dealers know the market very well, and there is movement in stock despite what the naysayers say, and want to believe.

I procrastinated on a £80k fully loaded (even had the carbon brakes) rosso/crema F430 Spider F1 in December 2014 that was up an indie. I was in the process of haggling with them, with somewhat cold feet - I naively thought it was overpriced, with "the market due a correction any day now", and trying to get an inspection done at the local Ferrari dealer but with Christmas it was proving difficult. Next thing I know it was sold - to Ferrari - who I later found out had it back up on the forecourt at £95k. I made them an offer of £90k - painful bearing in mind that I nearly had it for £10k less - and made them aware that I knew what they'd got it for (in the vain hope that I would be appealing to some kind of sympathy), and that I knew it needed pretty much no prep at all. They refused, and it was sold within less than 2 weeks at what I presume must've been asking or close to.

That car nowadays is almost certainly worth over £100k. The lesson really is that I don't think you can afford to be too picky or hesitant with these cars. If the spec is good, and the car appeals to you, the worst case scenario really is that you'll lose the dealer buy/sell spread, which is the case for any car really. There really aren't enough of these cars around that you can be picky about spec, or price (so long as it's not absurdly overpriced).

You're a long time dead, and money comes and goes, time only goes... etc. etc.

I love my 430 spider but haven't tried a 458 to compare. I had a Boxster S at the same time and got rid as it just had zero character in comparison (and got £5k more for it than offered last year due to the last of the NA Boxster thing). Is there going to be a last of the NA Ferrari thing too?

Why did I get the 430? Well price and prospective depreciation were an issue, but I preferred the more aggressive look and performance to the 360 and remember, if you want a spider you can still see the glorious engine in you'll need a soft top rather than a tin top (I think). As a weekend/holiday car I also don't care if it doesn't have the latest infotainment system or digital displays, I really like that big, yellow rev counter bang in my sightline. In fact as it's a special occasion car I find the old fashioned interior appealingly quirky. I also shopped about and found one with carbon race seats and ceramic brakes.
Evo magazine says the F430 is 'Just Brilliant' smile

I bought it a year ago so possibly nearing the top of the market but unless prices plummet it shouldn't lose too much hopefully. It's just in for it's 18,750 mile service (ouch!) and the insurance is over £1,000 for me, and road tax at £535 is steep, but apart from that the running costs are ok. This will probably be my only supercar but I'm very happy I chose it.

Whatever you get you'll love it, it just depends on your priorities, which only you can decide.

Oops, spoke too soon.

In at Stratstone for 18,750 service and vehicle health check shows work needs doing on suspension components. £2k plus covered by warranty but £1.7k additional parts needed to £2k service cost. I've just decided I'm too poor for Supercar ownership, that's a couple of good holidays! I do want my car tickety-boo though so hope it drives really nicely after this work.

If performance around a track is your criteria then you have no choice but to go with the latest iteration of the tipo.

Does anyone know of the 458 at Redline priced at 147995? Seams a nice car, but with only 6 months warranty and a 10k more than the last one I nearly bought I'm unsure?

The last car (Edinburgh one?) was a bargain in my opinion. As said previously - for reasons unknown, perhaps the market is slow up north? - Graypaul Edinburgh are the cheapest around when it comes to approved used cars.

This car has a decent spec, the only omission (for me, personal preference) would be the carbon central tunnel, but it has a few things you don't often see like reversing camera, carbon sills, JBL sound upgrade, etc. It has all of the obvious options and some nice ones to boot like the sport wheels & racing seats. It also has the 2011 upgrades (red seat strip on racing seats, dash screen upgrade) and presumably the 7 year maintenance plan.

The non-Ferrari warranty would be a concern to me, but that's just my risk profile.
