Hi guys, looking to move in to a Ferrari, and have seen this.

Would appreciate your thoughts please?

Seem to be a few similar in the classified with main dealers - mainly cheaper

Wow, nice spec. Not looking so hadn't realised 488's had dropped that much £26k in 12 months

looks like a nice spec. This spider caught my attention for the interior, really like it

There a probably plenty of 488s around now. Try Garry at HR Owen too, they usually have a few more cars than advertised

Many thanks for your valued input guys...

Is sports exhaust a 'must have' on these as this one doesn't have it??

Not sure about 488 but sports exhaust on 458 and California was just coloured exhaust pipe tips hence being a reasonably small cost. An actual sports exhaust from Ferrari if they offered one would be several thousand

Just to confirm, on 488 the Sports exhaust is only the coloured tips, contrary to what some 'specialists' list in their advertising.

It's a high spec car with lots of carbon (over £42k worth), but for me it's still a bit bland.

Now it looks reasonable value compared to new, but not the best out there.

I specced the 'sports' exhaust option on my 458. In retrospect felt a bit of a dafty spending several hundred pounds on - as you said - different coloured tips. Don't think, for what it amounted to, it was a 'reasonably small cost'. Bloody extortionate would be my description. Mind you, your last sentence is spot on.

I didn't mean to imply it was good value just that it is clearly not expensive enough to be a real exhaust change given ferrari's options pricing. I'm not sure they even look any better.

The one that gets me is the added cost for something like different colour seat belts which presumably cost them exactly the same as the standard ones

So where would your money go, if you don't mind me asking?

LOL! Well yeah. Maybe they're dyed with unicorn blood. I also had a word with myself about the several (7?) hundred quid the stitched cavallino rampante on the headrests cost. (mind you they did look ok smile )

If you have £230k to spend, you could get the 17/17 black car from Colchester with only 600 miles, better wheels, the newer option of racing Daytona seats and a more interesting interior.

Well in the fantasy of some saintly old Venetian grandmother stitching them by hand with gossamer thread dyed red in virgin blood possibly a day for the pair.

In reality - a factory programmed robot using cotton thread bought from Remnanto Kingso probably about 3 minutes the two.

(Incidentally, is it cavallino rampantes or cavallinos rampante? (or neither)

Ouch, £57,600 for the joy of driving a Ferrari that you don't own for 2 years. Those are expensive memories you're buying
