I have just looked at my order and I believe the standard terms and conditions allow you to cancel within 14 days of being notified of a price increase. The dealer has to return your deposit in full. I presume that all dealers use the same terms and conditions.
Apparently so. I checked mine they say the same, I spoke to my dealer last week. They have not officially informed me yet. I basically told them I would be cancelling if I was made to pay the 7% increase. So the ball is in their court to get me a pre 2018 build date or do something else.
I guess its time to go looking at alternatives, in case the worst happens.
If you had £230k to spend on your first super car what would you buy?

Huracan convertible, best looking convertible on the market in my opinion!I guess its time to go looking at alternatives, in case the worst happens.

That's actually what I am thinking.
Might go and drive one when I am back in the UK.
I've driven the Galliado which was good, but not in the same league as the 488.
As long as you are not 6 ft tall and don't mind a cloth roof its not a bad shout but I would also drive the McLaren 570s spider as well Might go and drive one when I am back in the UK.

I would definitely buy the 720s if it were not for the wait. I might be wrong but assume the wait on a Hurracan Spyder would be shorter.
The wait? When I enquired I was told I could have one within a couple of months, 3 max. One of the reasons I was put off a McLaren. I had to wait 4 months for my RRS, don’t believe you should be able to get access to Supercars so easily.

There are 1 or 2 cancelled orders flying around as people are getting cold feet with the general state of the economy/Brexit etc. Its not just a McLaren thing. When I enquired I was told I could have one within a couple of months, 3 max. Lambo told me they expected 20% of all orders to cancel for some reason or another. Just need to be in the right place and the right time with the money available

If a 720 is now the same price as a 488 and available at the same time.... Well I might well cancel my order.
