I personally doubt there will be anyone openly advertising an allocation slot and risk their future allocations when they could sell the car for a good profit after a year and keep on the good side of the brand and potentially do the same again in the next special or new model.

In the event someone was getting itchy feet I am sure the dealership could sort a deal to suit all parties.

Well I’m thinking he’s a dealer of some sort as he said he’s sold 2 pista slots already for 120 a piece and now this last one, build is January 2019 and car must be spec’d within next 4-6 weeks

When did you win the euromillions ? It wasn't that long ago ( a month ) you were posting you were on less than national minimum wage and struggling to justify buying some old sportscar for £50k lol

Dreammmmmm, dream dream dream
Ghost started by saying he couldn't afford it and just wanted to know if it was legit, and then restated that during the thread. Not quite sure why you're jumping on your high horse to belittle him. Apologies if the two of you have history I don't know about but otherwise what's your point?

It was not “some old sports car” but a 360 - it great car imo - if I remember correctly and the thread was a discussion about running costs (which as so often nowadays deteriorated as time went on ....)

Asking on here if it is legit just to buy it to then sell on at a further mark-up to the next person also not that great imo (while fair enough anybody can do what they want, but seems more on more in it for the money as opposed to the driving) - at least that was my initial interpretation of the question

Making out he was "offered" a slot for such a car is a bit irrelevant if he cant afford it legit or not.
I almost won the euromillions last week, I was only 6 numbers out FFS.
Just mischievous fabrication if you ask me

I Was only 1 number off winning 58 mil a few week ago in all honesty

I actually said I’d pass on the details to anyone interested I can’t afford the car but I know it’s sought after!

Can I just clear up a little thing here plz Rambo since you’ve quoted something! I work in my fathers business ok after a lot of bust ups and arguments I worked out that it appeared I was paid under minimum wage for the hours I do, whilst I wasn’t paid minimum wage when it was shown to me properly I’ve been given a fairly big payrise well considering what I was earning (nothing compared to some of you lot) I’m not going to justify myself too much but situations change over time and mine has! This has allowed me to build up some money and live a nicer lifestyle! Can someone truly on minimum wage with a wife that gave up work at 28 buy a 4 bed detached house with a fair sized garden and go book 11k worth of holiday to Disney world which I go tomorrow! So get off my back matey! Yes I want a supercar no I currently can’t afford one because other things are a priority! I’m fairly happy with my golf gti pp at the mo until next year then I’m going to look at different options, not that I have to justify myself to you!

Oh and I’ve been told He will accept £100k over now which makes absolutely no difference to me as I don’t have it! If he offered it at 20k and it was legit I would have it order it and flip it to better my position (if I recall specialé was up at 700k+ so if you put a car up at 500k you’re still going to make 200-250 profit depending how it’s spec’d) do I agree with flipping cars? No I don’t but if I had the chance to do it and pay my mortgage off and put some cash in my pocket of course I would

You two should really stop arguing about money and quoting how much you spend/have etc - was the same on the last thread (again from hazy memory)

FYI I don’t thing Speciales we’re ever up for that kind of money, the Speciale A yes, but not the Coupe. Having said that given GT2RS seems to trade at big premiums, you would have certainly had a good shot at say 200k for an early car (as a car guy it would break my heart to have a chance to get one/spec one to then having to sell it though - not sure if better to have loved and lost applies in such instances....)

Personally I think ppl should only be on the forum that they qualify for and can comment on with experience and knowledge, but hey this is the internet so open to all so you just have to take what some ppl say with a pinch of salt.
At least with the McLarens owners club you have to proof ownership before they let you in and as a result its a really good source of information and knowledge from ppl that own the cars not every Tom Dick and Harry wannabe

Pure snobbery. What's wrong with allowing every "Tom Dick and Harry" to post in a forum about cars that excite them? Who cares whether they can afford to buy and run them? You can choose who you listen to. Don't like someone's posts? Ignore them. That's what I've done with yours until now, but I just couldn't let such pompous bullst go unchallenged.

This is a public forum. If you want a private members club, go and start one. I suspect that you will find yourself in an elite group of one.

I had a framed Ferrari Testerossa photo on my bedroom wall when I was a boy.

A few years later my Dad took me to a Ferrari dealer and they kindly let me sit in one.

Many years later I finally bought one. Sadly, it was a few years after my father passed away so he never got to see it.

Without those formative life experiences, and a long period of lusting after them without the means to buy one, who knows how things would've turned out.

Supercars are super in large part because they are aspirational. You don't have to be rich to aspire to something, arguably it's more resonant when you have to work to achieve it vs winning Euromillions etc.

I'll never forget the feeling of buying my first Ferrari, or how it made me feel every time I took the cover off. Those feelings are a product of many years of desire. Desire like the OP and many others who might not necessarily be able to afford them right now express.

All of the above is also the reason why I never got irritated by people who wanted to come up and take photos or even sit in it. I was them once, and still am.

Hahahahaha good old Rambo Lambo, the forum jester since 2010.

To be fair, on the very rare occasions when he's not mentioning what he owns, what he's about to own, or when he's not bellitiling or berating others and talking st he actually does contribute some sound advice.

I actually think Rambo Lambo suffers with a bit of narcissistic personality disorder but you can Google that and come to your own conclusion.
