My 2013 has just gone to HR Owen for its annual service and they tell me 2 front sensors need replacing for £760 and it's not covered by the warranty.

I've had the car for around 6 months and not driven it much.

Seems a bit of a rip ?

Unfortunately parking sensors on the Cali do seem to be a bit of a weakness and they are unlikely to be covered on the warranty as the usual get-out is to say that they could have been damaged by a stone or similar.

The high cost for replacement is due to the time/labour involved in removing the front bumper to access them....very frustrating, especially as if one sensor fails (front or rear) it seems to knockout the full system and inhibits the roof operation

Many thanks for the replies - appreciated

Maybe HR Owen will do the right thing. So far I'm not impressed ( shame as the salesman was in fact brilliant to deal with)

Did you buy it from them? Might be scope for goodwill if so.

I've said it before and I shall say it again but the Ferrari Power Warranty is a pile of st. Not worth the paper it is written on. People buy from dealers for a piece of mind and pay thousands over what they could buy a car privately for but when the st hits the fan Ferrari don't want to know.

A good after market warranty or a monthly emergency fund is always a better bet.

Disagree with the warranty being a pos but some dealers are better than others. One wanted me to cough up for a full replacement headlight b/c of a light flickering intermittently on my Speciale and would not renew the warranty if I didn’t but at the same time would not cover it at all.. saying the light could be flickering b/c the car has been driven on uneven roads (I am not kidding. Car was 2yr old and 5k miles and in pristine conditions).

Joe macari said they had seen it before and usually a light bulb replacement would cure the issue. Which we did. Job done for 250 vs the 2500+vat the other one wanted. No name and shame but the bigger they get the worse they become IMHO.

Car back ( just in time for the snow!) Sensors replaced.

I drew a line under it when they reduced cost by this and that to get it down to £320 as it wasn't worth the bother.

Here's hoping for some decent driving weather ...

Am I right in thinking that the warranty Ferrari give US customers is far better than here in the UK?

I bought a California few years back from Romans international, couldn’t fault there service the car however was shocking had it 11 weeks 6bweeks was in Leeds with repairs totalling over 8 k Romans never battered an eye lid at covering these but a cracked manifold was the last one for Leeds again repaired and part ex straight in for a hassle free 458n, I’ll also add the California had a ferrarimpower warranty, which in my eyes was pointless

Sounds like you had a Friday car!, I owned 3 (one of them twice) and only had one problem, a failed Cat that was covered by warranty, over something like 25k miles
