Correct decision, the sound really is night and day biggrin
Not sure where you are located but after much hunting around I got mine fitted at https://sbraceengineering.co.uk/ who I would thoroughly recommend, great service and it's all hidden away etc. I ordered the extension lead too.

i am very close to SB and know the guys well. I actually called them up to see if they could fit it before my trip, so hopefully they will be able to. They are seeing if they can get the capristo valve controller into stock in time. fingers crossed.

Don't forget the Forza option - it's significantly cheaper (it was at the time I bought mine anyway), and arguably better. SB know it as well, because they fitted mine.

so the forza controller is $350 + $60 to ship to the UK vs. the capristo option which is £350. SB charge £130 to fit either, but they can order the capristo in themselves - they said that they are both as good as each other, but the capristo box is much smaller - i'm thinking just go for the capristo to make life easier... what are peoples thoughts?

On that basis, sounds like you're doing the right thing. When I looked (a few years ago now), the Capristo was more than double, £700 vs £300.

The only thing about the Capristo is that some of the guys on fchat were concerned about its location so near the hot stuff, and preferred the forza unit for that reason (long cabling with the extension) - however I assume this isn't a problem as I've never heard of an issue.

Also note that the newest version of the forza unit comes with the functionality to set the default mode to open (on my version, you have to press the remote at some point to open the valves as it defaults to the car controlling the valves).

this is very interesting, i was aware that there was an extension cable that was possible to purchase for an extra $25 for the forza unit. I will check with SB regarding the location of the capristo box and the ability to have the valves open on start up.... would be a real shame if they do not do this.
