I have an F8 Spider on order and have been told Q3 2021. To fill the gap I have bought a very well specced 488GTB and I love it so much I am now wondering if the jump up to the F8 Spider will be worth the outlay, especially when I will not be adding the £95k of options my current 488 has! I have drove the F8 in Italy on track and road and it is epic, but coming back to the UK and driving the 488 immediately afterwards I cannot say on the road there was no appreciable difference. Better yes but it was certainly not night and day. The additional £100k an F8 Spider is going to cost I am wondering if my money is better elsewhere..... like putting it to an F12???

This was always going to be the problem for Ferrari launching so many models! Too much choice out there which makes the used cars much better alternatives than the very expensive new cars. Of course there are still that uber rich clientele who give two hoots and will buy anything and everything that they launch but IMHO all these model launches are killing the brand.

Yeah long gone are the days when new to marque are invited to buy a pre-loved first.

Ferrari like most manufacturers has the shareholders and the financial markets to answer to.

I think it is great more choice and more depreciation. If/when it will start to impact new car sales to a level where it concerns Ferrari, they will do something about it. They are above 10k cars now and should be much more once they launch their suv - should have bought some shares.

Indeed dropping approx 100k on depreciation for a Lusso v12 in order to get your ideal spec Pista sounds like a good deal to me biglaugh
this. the pista is only going down too
Actually I disagree. Lusso V12 depreciation is a fantastic deal smile

If you're buying that is. Which is why I bought one.

150k depreciation is nearer the mark btw.

I'm sure Pista will fall hard too, albeit by nowhere near as much. Simply wait until the track version of the Tributo is announced.
