The flaw in your logic is that you don't know what cars I'm comparing it to.
The fact remains that some cars feel their age more than others. For me, the 360 does not.
Meh, presumably the car that you mentioned.
I’m not really all that interested in online arguments nor going back and forth repeating the same things over and over so if you think 360s aren’t old, I’m fine with that.

OP, if you haven’t driven one then my point remains, it IS an old car and be prepared for a very different drive to the three cars you have. I bought mine from Carrs in Exeter but KHPC who have the 355 were highly recommended at the time. WalkerSport do PPIs if you decide to get any prospective car checked over.

My E30 M3 was pretty old. And I loved it!
An E30 325i would still do it for me

Yes - but also (until last year) an Aston Martin Vantage - which would compare to a DB9.

As I said it's subjective. The OP may find the 360 feels old, he may feel it doesn't.

That's lovely - although 7,500 miles and POA..... that ain't going to be cheap! (And I don't think I'd ever have crema leather again!)

God that silver 360 looks good - need to stop looking at cars, I could take myself into that being good value for money
Agreed, the silver one looks terrific from the photos, no oxidization nor bubbling around the wheel hubs and other nooks and crannies. Only thing is - is it me or the bonnet gap look wonky? Maybe the hinges are a little bent.

I do like 355s, but that's an awful lot of cash......

As said above, 360s are generally pretty solid - although mine had a rather unfortunate bill last year. They are damn good cars though - much much more involving than Porsche in my opinion, and my ~20 year old one still compares pretty well to my 5 year old McLaren.

I was intending to put mine up for sale this week, but the end of the world has made me delay that (and it's no good to you anyway because it has a roof and your links suggest that's a bad thing!).
How could they be more involving than a white 964, ??

328 all day for me out of those. I would prefer a 355 though...360 not so much. Not sure if I was able I would put my cash in a 360

Hi Dave: Kevin.
I was thinking more of the 911 turbo when I wrote that.

Hey Kevin, it's been a while! You've changed your ID - but I'm guessing the current one means you still have your 964.
We should catch up when we're all allowed outside.

Sounds like a plan Dave; still have the 964, even though I’ve also thought of a 360 or similar

It just goes to show how everyone wants different things from their supercars. Some of us want to drive them and be involved, while others want to be cocooned in luxury and technology.

In many ways, asking peoples's opinion on forum about a car is pointless because of everyone's different objective. You can present the physical facts about the car, but how it makes you feel is a completely different story.
Spot on.

The DCT in the 458 is slick, but to me rather dull.

Physical test drives are the only real way to discover what we each really enjoy.

Hi mate, trust you are well.

It does look lovely, in fact my first choice would bee a 355 GTS, but I just think they are toppy price wise right now and I can justify paying nearly twice as much as for a 360.

Cheers

Stunning and in my neck of the woods too, but I have my heart set on something convertable as I don't have one of these anymore.

‘It has never felt like an old car TO ME’ illustrates exactly the point I was making in my previous post. It simply IS an old car and how it feels to an individual will very much be relative to whatever else they are used to. Relative to a 348, no, it won’t feel old.
The OP is used to a DB9, a CGT and a Range Rover which whilst all may be relatively old now, are a very different drive and certainly will feel much more modern than a 360.
I bought my 360 knowing that it felt much older and more basic than the car it replaced, I’m not attacking the car or anyone who has one or wants one now.
Exactly. Whilst my RR is the new model my DB9 is now 15 years old.

If I want to whaft around I have the Bentley and Range Rover (and my wife's RR Evoque, for that matter), for a more analouge GT/sports driving I have a old DB9 and soon a 360.

I am very aware neither of the latter have the tech of modern day cars, but that is also part of the appeal and why my other options would be a 355 GTS or 328 GTS.

The 360, though, seems to be a good entry point to me in terms of value.

I have also decided my first Ferrari should be a red one, so given how lovely the silver one is (and it really is) I've ended up putting a holding deposit on the red one.

KHPC have been very good and also offered (when I raised it) to re-upholstor the black roll bar hoops in crema, which I assume would look much better?

Cheers everyone!

Think you’re right to zone in on a 360 as an entry point, sounds like it’s modern enough for your needs. I see them out and about and think they look stunning. And while the 355 is pretty, the ergonomics and the degree of mollycoddling necessary would probably piss you off. The 360 was meant to be a daily driver and I think this shows in the layout and ergonomics.

I had a manual 360 Modena then a Challenge Stradale, obviously semi auto. That was quite an interesting comparison because handling-wise the CS was a step change. The semi auto on the 360 was no great shakes, which is why manuals are sought after. But IMO, the manual on the 360 was no great shakes either. Even having owned a CS I think the premium these command is just daft, So if it was me I’d get a 360 and retrofit CS settings and components including gearbox software, suspension stuff and maybe some of the body kit such as front bumper and wheels.

One thing on crema and other pale interiors, you have to be super careful not to mark it so no jeans etc. I’ve avoided pale interiors, keeping them in order would break my heart.

I'd agree 100% with the post above. Drive and see all variants and stay open minded. I think the 360 still looks modern enough (maybe not to the up-to-date petrolhead but certainly to everyone else). Perhaps the fact they don't look 'current' isn't a bad thing at all. Driving an older top-end car might be seen differently to driving a new one - saved up and paid for as opposed to probably financed (that's not necessarily the case, nor right or wrong but how some may look upon them).

Oh, I never hear people say "man, that Dino/DB5 etc, it's just sooo dated..."

Don't dismiss the F1 smile

I couldn't agree more! smile

Does anyone have any thoughts on the roll bar hoops, keeping them black or having them changed to crema (at no cost)?

Cheers
