First of all congratulations on the new car, with regard to the CEL you need software that can read both ignition/engine ECU’s, The code reader you’ve got is probably only looking at one of the ECU’s, I use EOBD-Facile along with an ELM 327 Wi-fi adaptor, this allows me to read and clear any fault codes that are stored on either ECU.

Congrats on your purchase! The 360 seems to be getting a bit more love now people realise its probably the most affordable entry into the modern classic world of Ferrari.

I got a beautiful TDF manual spider last September and am thrilled with it!

Look forward to seeing some pics!

As mentioned above, your code reader is only connecting to one ECU.

I’m using a fox well code reader but nothing.

As above I’ve just bought the WiFi one and will download the software too , will be good to have in future anyway .

Try turning off the battery switch in the front compartment, leave it for ten minutes, then on. Let the car idle for 5 minutes. That may cure it.

Doing that right now.

Then at 5 I’ll follow the instructions as per the ecu settings above.

Also booked it in for its service early August at Ferarri Edinburgh and also just today installed a dashcam in it as i don’t drive anywhere without one.

Oh and my last 360 was also very sensitive to good quality fuel. If the car was trailered to you and sat stationary during lockdown it could have four month old fuel - perhaps a full tank of 99 octane may help too.

I recommend David Phillips Autos in Dalry , Ferrari and Porsche specialist, if you end up seeking an alternative to the main dealer.

Full disclosure: I drive a cheap Porsche but his place is always choc a bloc full of fantastic modern classic Ferraris and 911s. Great service too.

Hopefully you have some warranty, my 360 used to have a cel on now and again, it turned out to be a engine ecu that had become faulty, Ed Blasi at Voiceys sorted it for me. Keep an eye on it.
But great looking car, stay safe and enjoy. Mike

I had the original 360 exhaust box put back on as the cs/racing exhaust I had on had some loose baffles.

A combination of not running during lockdown and no ecu reset after the exhaust change may be the reason. I never had the light come on in six years while running the cs set up, so should hopefully be ok.

No warning lights, you were lucky there Jim,now what are you going to do,leave it there for another 2 years. Now you got it running book it in for a m.o.t and have a bit of fun for rest of the summer, only problem you will have is it will seem slow and old fashion compared to the RS but that's ok, the 2 will complement each other.

Yes the orange warning light was on due to empty tank last time I tried to start it with no petrol ,that went out after leaving it to idle but when I first turn the key a German voice speaks???? ,your right it is a slow poke (must be due to those 2 year rusty brakes) compare to modern cars ,guess its coming up to the time to get it sold after the Covid19 iv'e no plans to MOT it and would pass it on within the trade one day circa £47.5k "as is " Regards jim

MMMMMM slow poke found out she was only running on 4 ? the n/s bank of cylinders are cold , wonder if the fuel rail has a air blockage and needs bleeding ? as the car was unused for ages with a dry tank.

Hi Jim give Mike Pullen a call ,I know he's more Lamboghini than Ferrari but you two go way back and he may be able to give words of advise failing that try AV Engineering as they seem to specialise in 360's and 430's .

Hope it's nothing serious ,probably something minor, they don't like standing especially outside with all there electrics. Trouble is we are used to a spanner and a screwdriver and not plugging it into a computer. Is that your RS alongside the 360 ,looks like satin paint in the photo.nice one Jim ,at least you got that one to enjoy. sorry can't be of more help, not much good with this modern stuff ,if you can call a 20 year old 360 modern,

Wonderful.

Already somehow managed to put £600 miles on her.

It’s been serviced and a check over by a good Indy here called Stewart Roden and all is well after a leaky shock was fixed.

Love it. In the garage all nice and tucked up after a good weekend.

Glad to hear! I wondered if the initial niggles had dampened the experience but clearly not.

The same colour manual at KHPC keeps catching my eye. Might have to take the plunge.
