I was wondering if it wasn’t just Ferraris that were often red in the 1980s, I think cars generally were more often red, so thought I’d see if I could find some data.
Couldn’t find a graph for UK going back to the 1980s but this one shows red used to be more popular:

How do you ignore a Bizzarrini , It's up there with the GTO, Miura, GT40, P4, D Type --------------------- .
Weirdly I find that f40 outside a lovely colour in that grey - I just can’t get along with Red leather though . . I’m looking for a Cali T or portofino at the moment and so many portofinos have red leather - is it a fashion thing ? I’m afraid I only really like boring black leather . .
