The Collecting car F8 really was poverty spec. Guessing a dealer snapped it up and should be on Auto Trader for £235k soon!
You just know the conversation with any prospective buyer in the dealership will be along the lines of how the basis car "is so complete, unlike previous models" and how options are "to taste" and "sometimes not great for future residuals", or something. Then, if you bought the car and drove around the block and back to them and asked for a trade-in they'd be sucking air through their teeth.PrancingHorses said:

Thats a little harsh. Race seats, forged wheels, smattering of interior carbon. Most significant omission in probably suspension lift, but I don't see more carbon bringing much to the party.
On the bright side, we got to see what standard grey brake callipers look like

Suspension lift is never an issue on modern cars post the 458. This car had no shields and no outer carbon at all. Most significant omission in probably suspension lift, but I don't see more carbon bringing much to the party.

Never an issue without lift, until you need it for loading, or just some unforeseeable scenario you find yourself in. Yes, shields have become somewhat of a prerequisite, like them or not.
Exterior carbon, well let me just say you won't like my car
I've been through every imaginable situation with the 458 and never needed lift. In fact my driveway is so steep that I always had issues with the Aston DB9 and even now if I don't lift my Taycan it actually rubs the front splitter but the 458 never touched the drive at all.
The F8 without exterior carbon looks really naff, wait till you see one in person. Way too much plastic on show for a £200k car!

More like completely unsellable (for decent money)....if it floats yer boat yes why not...
All relative, but with Ferrari changing their sales model, IMO a wise mans money would not be blown on exterior CF in the hope of a higher residual value.Bigger they come and all that.

Yeah I wouldn't worry either. I spec'd my 812 without any exterior CF. I find it very shiny and actually prefer the matt look of the plastic. Plus it saves a fortune too.
maybe someone can explain the logic of spending multiple thousands on cosmetic CF on a car. It is not weight saving. It isnt a better material for the job when used in a such a cosmetic fashion. It is ludicrously overpriced. Is this just dealer profit/ferrari leaning on dealers?Sure, if like the look. But the car F8 that Harry drove had something like 100k of options on it. Which seems just bonkers to me.

Harry’s car was the Ferrari NE press demo it was fully loaded..
Correct and if Ferrari NE put on all the Race & Track options, which they probably did, since he mentioned it was intended for a track event, then thats a £35k head-start ...... and the remaining £65k is all too achievable, dare I say a forgone conclusion Gassing Station | Ferrari V8 | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
