I was going to up-date this.

Took a trip to Spain in the 458, took a Noco Booster pack with me encase, any way 4 days in hotel car park off any sort of charger, had the same lazy start issue, drove for around 20 minutes and the warning come up "Engine Control System Failure" Ignition on and of did not remove the warning, car felt and drove ok, drove it back home some 600 miles all ok.

Disconnected battery for 10 mins warning gone, put is back on charge, next day same Lazy start. dash lit up like a Christmas tree !

Took the battery out and had the date on it of 22 Mar 2019, i got the car July 2020 and it was supposed to be a new battery, called up JCT600 and they explained that it's just the manufacturer date. A bit of messages back and forth i ordered and new Battery (Odyssey PC1220) date 23 Sep 2020 so these dates are a bit misleading.

Anyway fitted it on Sunday, awaiting to see if makes the starting better.

The Odyssey PC1220F is the OEM long life AGM battery. Ferrari charge silly money, £350+VAT for them (#7000253), £250 (in vat) from Tayna. It should work better, remember starting is best done as a 2 stage process, 1 press with foot off brake to light top the electronics, wait 30sec then crank.

Ultimately the Odyssey will not survive the 70mA parasitic drain for that long without a tender.

Just a slight correction to the above. Pressing with foot off works for 488 onwards. For 458 it’s turn key (ie switch on ignition) wait 30 seconds (I just usually wait until all the fuel gauge bars are lit up) then start.
