I think it's the gearbox getting caught ot as the DSG preselects the next gear and it cant anticipate the change of mind from slowing down to accelerating again.

I've never noticed this at all on any of mine, but then I never drive in Auto so maybe that's the differance.

On the other hand I have noticed this in my wifes 911 which is PDK, which I do tend to leave in auto, not sure why but it jest seems right

I test drove the F8 and a similar thing happened to me.
Coming to a junction slowly, I was due to stop before turning right but noticed that I can pull out quickly before car approaching from the left.
The car sought of died the revs/stop started effect then gave me boost which coming from a NA V8 not really a nice experience. That I think is a norm if you get that scenario on a Turbo/stop start Ferrari V8?
That's exactly what I mean! I never use Stop/start but maybe a Turbo/Gearbox catching up thing.

This is what the Ferrari technician said, I now drive in Auto and override to manual with the paddles when coming to particular junctions.

Thanks for the input!

Out of interest, why do you use auto at all?

Never drove any of my past or current Ferraris in Auto. The Auto in Ferraris are much too prone to shift to the highest gear at all times so Manual for me all the time.

I agree, auto is just to obtain the best fuel consumption results, nothing to do with actually enjoying the car.

At the moment this is my daily drive (until I get a estate) so I'm going to work quite early and taking it easy so Auto is the easy option
without lots of noise, pops, hi revving etc at 6:30 in the morning.
