Hi Folks, got a 488 Spider coming and considering fitting scrape armor (American spelling!) as it doesn't have lift. Scrape Armor make a templated kit specifically for the 488.

Has anyone else fitted and what do you think?

Thanks All!

Not a Spider but I’ve got Scrape Armor on my Pista. It’s a first rate product. The fit is so good it looks factory. From the moment you unwrap the kit you know you are dealing with a high quality company. Highly recommended.

Thanks @MHH . Just collected the car and you are right! Looks like a factory fit.

Just reviving this thread as i just posted about skid protection for my new to me F8. Did you source the kit direct from the US or through a UK distributor, and did you get your dealer to fit it? The videos suggest it should be relatively easy to fit. Thanks in advance.

GEM Detailing ( https://www.gemcleandetailing.com/ ) suggested Scrape Armor and fitted as part of the PPF package. I'm glad I fitted it, as it has already saved my front splitter!!

Cant offer advice on fitting, but it was installed on my 488GTB and looks good product to me. Its clear the spoiler has had a few touches (no lift) and it appears to be doing the job.

Do you know if they needed to drill any holes or did they use existing fittings plus adhesive? Thanks!

I am pretty sure no extra holes needed to be drilled and did not use the adhesive. It looks like it was factory fitted.

I’m having Gem Detailing fit a Scrape Armor to my F8 tomorrow - I know this is a 488 thread but if anyone is interesting in seeing what it looks like fitted I will try and get some photos while it is up on the ramp

I installed scrapearmour on my 488. Here are a couple of photos. Before and after. Yes you have to drill (quite a lot) of holes but the end result is good, and gives you more piece of mind.

The F8 apparently needs three holes drilled on each side. I am having mine fitted mid April. Was at the shop that will fit it today and it looks like an OEM piece of kit.

I just posted a picture of the Scrape Armor fired on my F8 on another thread in the Ferrari V8 forum in case of interest. I haven’t seen it in person yet as it was fitted today and it’s having PPF at the same time but it looks neat from underneath and am told it is near invisible from the front. Having had an encounter with a flag stone i am hoping it does the job.
