Buying a 360 / F430

Are you buying the service book or the car ?
I'm trying to do due diligence. Despite the low miles I left off mentioning the door kick plates that give the impression the driver wore steel toe capped boots/wellies, which actually would be very fitting in that area of Doncaster to visit a servicing garage which must be in the middle of a field. The low mileage is not indicactive of a well kept car and when you put some reasonable annual miles on a low miles seldom used/stored car your first service usually lands you with a meaty bill according to AV. Some cars end up on action sites for a reason rather than trade/private sales.
Somebody has bid up to £58k (under reserve). I'm out

A couple of months in and loving it so far.
I did however an issue with the roof cover not folding correctly so I think it needs some grease (each side was coming down at a slightly different speed so it was out of alignment).
Any recommendations on what grease to use?
Another black one, nice. I am toying with changing mine for a spiderI did however an issue with the roof cover not folding correctly so I think it needs some grease (each side was coming down at a slightly different speed so it was out of alignment).
Any recommendations on what grease to use?

Looks very nice, could you not book it in with the selling dealer given its only been a couple of months and the roof is playing up?I did however an issue with the roof cover not folding correctly so I think it needs some grease (each side was coming down at a slightly different speed so it was out of alignment).

Lovely car.
Do love the Black with Crema interior, especially with the sports seats
Just put my red manual spider up for sale formally on PH and now questioning if I'm doing the right thing...
Mine is manual too, not the fastest car out there but a real experience on each drive.Do love the Black with Crema interior, especially with the sports seats

Yes that's the one - wasn't sure if I was allowed to post a link so had refrained from doing so pmanson said:

I went from a 480bhp Noble to my 360, the 360 is slower and doesn't handle as well but sounds so much better, has a beautiful click-clack to the shifts & generally just a nicer driving experience as you say. Not to mention that despite not being as nimble as the Noble it certainly holds its own on drives out with supercar groups etc also Seems to get a lot of positive feedback too
In the 2 years I've had my 360, I've only had 1 negative comment that I'm aware of - expected far more from what I had read online

Yes, you've moved too soon! Please take it off the market. I'm in Adderbury and have been tracking manual 360 Spiders for a while. Yours sounds perfect but I need another 3 or so months

Ah but then I'd have to see it around every now and then I'm in Adderbury and have been tracking manual 360 Spiders for a while. Yours sounds perfect but I need another 3 or so months
I've held off advertising wider just yet, few adverts I had benchmarked mine against have disappeared so market does seem to be moving. Have a couple of people interested but perhaps chose a poor time to advertise as I listed it right before a couple of weekends away. Biggest pain is trying to find time to give it a complete detail ahead of any viewings which may be an impossible task I've set myself

Coming up on 2 years in a 430 and I have yet to have a negative comment. I've heard it said that you'll get a lot of hate in a Ferrari, people will make rude gestures, nobody will ever let you out of a junction again, etc. I can only guess that advice comes from people who have never owned one. I'm sure there are plenty of people who think "knob" when I drive past; but those people seem content to keep that to themselves so who cares?murphyaj said:

with others losing their jobs and love ones passing. Having driven Ferrari's for over 40 years i have noticed the difference in the reaction towards them,
When thumbs up and waves were a regular thing i noticed that in the 430 i either got ignored which suits me fine at my age or have had the finger
or wker sign directed at me , maybe because it still look a modern car by some however in the GTB the reaction is far more positive being stripped
out and having left the decals on from it's racing days may have something to do with that or just being recoognised as a classic i don't know.
When asked the other day by a friend if i would take their 5 year old son out in the Lamborghini they totally ignored me when i replied that i have sold
it but if they would like to slum it in a Ferrari i would be glad to, strange but everyone loves a Lambo not just kids, that's one thing that hasen't changed
modern or classic,

I bought my car for me, so couldn't care less what anyone else thinks.
But in 3 odd years I think I've only had one odd comment, but I think the bloke might have been a nutter so I am not sure.
I was filling it up in Tesco and I could swear the bloke at a pump over the way fillingup was singing "what a show off, what a show off .... " just loud enough for me to hear.
When were in France in September it got a lot more attention and all positive, lots of phots. At one petrol station we got talking to a little old local couple who had never seen anything like it. Engine in the back with a glass cover they were blown away.
To be honest it was a surprise as generally here it tends to go largely unnoticed which is just how I like it.

We live in a strange divided nation ,when i stop for petrol in one of my Hot Rods i know it could take forever as so many curious peopleBut in 3 odd years I think I've only had one odd comment, but I think the bloke might have been a nutter so I am not sure.

want to talk about the cars and always get asked can we take photo, sometimes with the wifey or girlfriend sat in the car,
not so good if you are in a hurry, apart from at car shows i've never been asked that in a super car ,maybe they feel to intimidated to ask ,
i've never had anything rude said to my face apart from did you steal it mate but mostly just i get gnored ,
With older classic especially yank tanks people seem to think you don't take yourself too seriously driving such a bonkers car,
I think the same goes for Lambo's ,they are like driving with a red nose on the bonnet where the Ferrari's are more grown up.
I live on the outskirts of a town that there is more poverty than wealth that might explain why i get so much negativity in a Ferrari unlike places like
London or Weybrige were nobody gives them a second look.

In France st a super market last year. A Frenchman comes up to me just as I am getting out of the car and says
“Ferrari she is beautiful, oh la la, Ferrari superb”
My mate has just climbed out of his brand new Porsche Targa GTS point to his car and says to the Frenchman “Porsche?”
The French chap glances at the Porsche , does a dismissive hand gesture and says “Porsche… PAH!”
My mate is so crestfallen. Obviously I remind him several times a month, old Ferrari trumps fancy Porsche
