Does anyone know why the Ferrari 488 Pista Piloti is cheaper in the UK than anywhere else in the world. They seem to be selling at around mid £ 400,000's when they do occasionally come up for sale but that is almost 1/2 of what they sell for in the US and elsewhere. Is it becasue they are right-hand drive's? That doesn't really stack up as a Porsche GT2RS or GT3 4 Litre RHD sells for more here as a) they are RHD and b) RHD's are even more limited. Is it because we now have big issues exporting cars to Europe as we have the new duties on 2nd hand cars? Is it the huge interest rates we are now paying in the UK? Although that doesn't seem possible as cars like La Ferrari still sell at £ 3,5m. Is it because UK dealers are frighted to press prices and look for quick, easy, sales. I am puzzled. Great car, certainly a future classic collectible but UK prices seem to be flat.

I thought this was going to be some tenuous thread about drink driving.

Yup

Big global market for LHD cars, small market for RHD.

I seem to recall that the US despite being LHD is a closed market and only US spec cars can be sold there and imports of non US spec cars are banned until they are over 25? years of age which will keep prices of rare cars high
