I are we talking flat 12s or 180 degree V12s though?

I went to a Ferrari Owners Club do once when the cars were parked according to V12 and the rest. So the Flat 12's were parked alongside the lovely eight cylinder cars. I rather thought this smacked of a bit of V12 snobbishness. Why not group the cars according to eight or twelve? It seems like a much more natural way to order the cars.

Are there people who really still believe that a "real" Ferrari can only have twelve and in a "V"?

I wonder what the thinking was behind whoever re-named these links?

Well technically speaking, the flat 12 engines are flat v12's.

The crank design (and subsequent firing order) make the definition between a 'v' configuration or a 'boxer' or as Porsche call theirs 'flat'.

So the flat Ferrari 12s are in my eyes very welcome here.

When I visited Maranello, there were two distinct production lines, "ottocilindri" and "dodicicilindri". Angle of Vee not important.
