Yes this was the car, we had it on the stand at autosport this year looking ohh so nice.

Owner was a breath of fresh air, Ive known Jon Oakley for some time and he always lets kids sit in the cars for photos and so did this owner which is a great thing.
All too often we forget what it was like as a kid looking at these types of cars and often take them for granted.
The guy is only a young lad but great at business and has done well for himself. He was a real nice fella.

He must be totally gutted. That said when a proper car like that has a prang they will appear to have folded up worse than they have. The bits that fly off are designed to fly off. Let's hope it's not scrap.

I sometimes think that having a state of the art 4x4 system lulls people into a false sense of security when the roads are cold wet and greasy.

No matter how good it is it still can't stop the laws of physics.

Impressive to get it that far up the bank though!

So M65 or A56 then?? If it is the A56 it looks like the uphill section coming out of rawtenstall but before it changes into the M66.

Must having been moving a bit to put it that far up a bank on a section that is already uphill and a 50mph zone
Looks like it is the uphill section of the A56. You can see the pedestrian crossing in the background: goes where the armco of central reservation has a gap in it, and the open gate in the fence on the opposite side of the road.

This is about 4/500yrds after it goes back to national speed limit tho.

I wonder how much that engine, gearbox and rear diff would go for.
