The problem with the glowing P1 tests was that they were run in race mode which is not road legal and therefore irrelevant when comparing to the 918 and LaF
Really??
Is that the best you can come up with?
The problem with the glowing P1 tests was they were just TOO good, and I'm going to find some straws to clutch in order to maintain they don't count.

Don't get me wrong, I think the P1 is a stunning achievement, just annoyed that the likes of evo devoted most of their review to running it in race mode. Irrelevant for the road.
Well the car does have a built in feature that allows it to go into a certain mode for track so while on track it is not irrelevant to use it surely? All modern performance cars have this feature to a greater or lesser extent and it's simply that the P1 takes it to extremes and one could quite reasonably point out that Mclaren has best used the systems in the car to do so. I would like to see a proper road test of the 918 vs the P1 though and see if the opinions on both cars remain the same as ultimately what matters (or should matter IMO) is which car is the most fun to drive at 'normal' speeds.
It's certainly going to polarise opinion as it's a new ferrari and it'd be boring if everyone loved the same thing
Personally, I think it's a beautiful looking car and would be my choice out the three, but it's not exactly against two rubbish, ugly ducklings and the market is certainly full of seriously good hypercard right now.
Can only be good for both the consumer and the schoolboy poster lover alike
