Looking for a nice sub 25k car that's useable, none of this <5k and £150 nonsense. Anyone got any ideas?

I think you might just be day late and a dollar short to that party.

Well there was one this week for 95k and 25k miles. The ferrari centre had one not long ago for 85k with similar miles, so I am a might more optimistic than you....

I think your initial post may have been misunderstood with the 25k line.

Anyway, very doable. Hasn't one recently sold through Amari with that kind of mileage? Although might have been high money as it had quite the comb over?

Eta you didn't mean 25k price really did you?

I was wondering why I got that reaction!!! No, sorry I definitely meant a car with 25k miles or less and I'm budgeting 85k upwards as I've seen a couple at this level lately.

I just don't want to buy a 'collectors car' for 150k. That VVS car has been for sale for over a year and despite the fact that it hasn't sold the price keeps going up.

Sold the F40 a year ago. It wasn't that useable and always felt like it was about to break down, which is did twice.

There's one coming up at Silverstone Auctions.

23,000 miles, estimate of £42K but previously a Cat C.

^^^^^^

Isn't a 512 TR though. Just a 'basic' Testarossa.

I had a 512tr for 5 years, it was one of the last ones made, only had 11k on it and totally reliable, wish I had kept it now.

Because it was a great car or because of its value now?

I can only speak for myself of course but I don't really care about the current market value as I won't be cashing in in the foreseeable future (although it is nice to see the 512 being a bit more widely appreciated). It's a great car, I've had mine for 5-6 years now after intending on keeping it for a year or 2.

Other cars have come and gone but the 512 will be in my garage for a few years yet.

Good luck in your search, it's worth the effort.

Thanks mate and superb taste you have. I was just thinking today how I starred looking at these in 09/10 when no one wanted them, well not no one but you know what I mean. Lovely mint 8k car was 65k or something. I had other cars at the time so didn't pursue it, but time to put that right now. Will see what surfaces up.

Appreciate they are all 512's but I thought there were 3 models.
The original testarossa - with the horrible flat wheels.
Then the TR with the 355 wheels.
And lastly the 512M with the different front lights.
Or is that not the case ??

I thought the only ones that had the '512' designation were the 512TR and 512M (ignoring the previous gen.512BB of course)

I could be wrong of course! hehe
