No just fking mental in my opinion until Shmee confirmed my thoughts - it was a joke.
If one has quarter of a million to spend on an FF, im certain they would spend more than a tank of petrol for said car on my wardrobe or kitchen table. Id imagine anyone with their life sorted enough to get an FF probably has a nice house and would like to fill it with quality furniture.
Dont try and be obtuse for the sake of it - you and everyone else knows what I meant
Or from the other perspective, its because he shops at Ikea that he can afford an FF.If one has quarter of a million to spend on an FF, im certain they would spend more than a tank of petrol for said car on my wardrobe or kitchen table. Quenching the thirst of a Ferrari V12 is a very gratifying way to prioritise one's finances, I find!
fully agree and as it does not show average consumption / fits enough petrol to be able to drive 300ish km between stops, it does not even feel that bad ... just bin all petrol receipts as quickly as possible to never be able to add them all up. br d said:
Christ Tim gets some stick already but now he's getting eyes rolled at him because he owns a nice car and shops at Ikea!
Honestly you have to just laugh at such utter drivel.
The way I see it who gives a Sh*t if he shops at Ikea? Just because you have a super car/ferrari/luxury car etc doesnt mean that you no longer shop in 'normal' places. Some people would rather scrimp elsewhere in order to have the car they want. Honestly you have to just laugh at such utter drivel.
Who are we to judge where he shops? I know it was intended as a joke, but just seems like a silly comment in my opinion (not by you).
Every person is different to how they spend their surplus cash. Some people buy a bigger and better house, some people chuck £30k at a 2 week holiday - It just depends on what you spend your cash on!

Have you never seen the 'most incongruous supercar'' thread? An FF at IKEA fits perfectly despite what you want to think - same as the Carrera GT at Asda.

What kind of person who has an FF shops at Ikea?!

If it's any consolation, I know what you meant.
I wouldn't expect to see such an expensive car at Ikea either.

What if it's furniture for your garage or your kid's student accommodation. Or even some rental properties that afforded you the FF?
Yes, I can understand that, just saying if I saw one in the car park it'd stand out to me too as fairly unusual. What if it's furniture for your garage or your kid's student accommodation. Or even some rental properties that afforded you the FF?
I got a few odd looks collecting 2 bags of sand from Wickes in my Gallardo, understandable.

Not like going to B and Q in your Cali T (aka 'Tip' car ) - and finding an 'old' Cali in the same colour there also is it I mean first world problems!I got a few odd looks collecting 2 bags of sand from Wickes in my Gallardo, understandable.
On another note - love your new addition
Picked mine up last week. Driven straight to Denmark via some German roads. Being a practical car it was loaded up with 5 cases, a road bike, 3 arm chairs (B&B Italia, not Ikea in case the furniture quality police are reading) a box with a lamp in it and five other small bags. Apart from being full of stuff meaning it had the blind spot of a luton van it was impeccable. May 15 car. grey with tan leather (covering everything, boot, roof the lot) . I've wanted one since Ferrari took me to Millbrook for the launch (don't buy the ex-demo cars that went to millbrook, mine had all four wheels off the ground on the mountain road in the hands of the instructor..) I've spent a few months hunting the right one, in part encouraged by watching Shmee's FF exploits. (Tim, Meridien owe you a drink)
