Is that TDF centre with nero daytona sides? or is it just the lighting?
Yup - that's it. EC missed out on the Sessanta and so spec'd his OTO with the Sessanta two-tone paint, wheels and diamond stitch seats.
You don't need me to tell you... but that's a very, very special car... I echo the comments above, easily the best example i've seen (or ever will..)

Congratulations.

I've been monitoring 612 prices for over three years and can say they are firmly on the up.
Took the plunge in June 2015 on a low mileage HSTC one to one in black with creama Daytona seats. Stunning car in every way.

The price I paid put me firmly in FF territory however whilst the FF is superior in every way it's styling leaves a lot to be desired. The 612 is getting better with age and will continue to do so, further only 17 right hand drive one to ones made it to the uk hence the market is now flooded with lhd variants.

These cars will surpass there original purchase price in years to come so get your hands on one if you can!

I think it is all too easy to forget just how good these cars look and perform. That is the 2nd stunnning car posted on this page. I do wish I had gone for the one Rardley had in Rosso Scuderia.

Great looking car Charlie. Did you manage to verify that number? If it is only 17 then they are even rarer than I thought.

Thank you. I was blown away when seeing it in the flesh.

Cheers. The car was originally spec'd by Eric Clapton so a nice story to it. I did look in the boot - no guitars unfortunately!
What was wrong with the lhd Sessanta that you turned down before buying the Capton car?...always good to know about 'storied' cars smile

Quite frustrating actually. Agreed on a price over the phone and about to fly out that weekend when he phoned to say the car was sold. Who knows.

The figure 17 was quoted by someone within Ferrari UK however now I'm a member of the Ferrari Club I'll endeavour to verify it. He referred to One to One's, the final hurrah before the model was replaced by the FF. Values are dependent on the specification being correct and the anyone with a low miles One to One with carbon ceramics that is the HSTC pack is on to a winner.

Today a very well known uk dealership offered me £10,000 more than I paid for the car in June 2015 i.e. four months after purchase, and reckons by spring 2016 the figure will be closer to £150,000.

Investment as side I concur with what has been said above, drive one and you will soon know just how capable they are. I have set my sights firmly on an F12 however the 612 stays until then.

Interesting. Thanks, let us know if you find out any more. My understanding is that the HGTS and HGTC packs were all pre OTO. They were replaced by the HGT2 pack for the OTO which included CCM brakes, Superfast gearbox with the dual plate clutch later seen on the 599, upgraded suspension, mannetino and the electrochromatic roof by default. I may be wrong but I believe all OTOs have these.

I believe you are correct cook101.

I'd like to add the 612 is not only about raw power of which it has ample. The way the car brakes on carbons is nothing short of astonishing, the handling razor sharp, the car is so alive and the steering is incredibly reactive. When on it I'm using fingers not hands it amazes me just how agile it is for such a big car.

Not to mention the attention it gets from Ferrari fans young and old. Whenever I'm asked I stop to chat and it makes my day when young kids with their parents ask if they can have photos around the car. I was that child many moons ago and it's a firm reminder that dreams do come true.

I'm taking the car to the Alley Pally classic car show so please stop by and say hi to all who are attending.

See you soon

Charlie that's crazy money. It makes the GBP28k I've paid for my 2007 last month amazing value. Having spent the entire weekend hooning about in it I love it, it shrinks around you and carries speed so deceptively. Anyone who doubts these cars hasn't driven one. The sheer presence of the 612 cannot be explained until you spend some time with one.

Unlike say a 599 or 430 I think the 612 you need for longer than a 15-30min test drive to appreciate, it is so much more than a more useable 4 seater ferrari....

With RHD automatic 50,000 mile 456s currently at the £60,000 mark, the 612 has been steadily appreciating.

I cannot see that an auto 456 will be worth more than a similar mileage F1A 612.

Had a look at the PistonHeads classified today. Six months ago a 2006 612 with 30,000 miles was about £62,000 from the dealers. Now they are £85,000 for a similar car. Quite a jump in six months.

Shooot I left Porsche because it is now a big car manufacturer where everyone is obsessed with current values and bought a 4 seater and a race car ( Scud GT3 ) from a smaller sports car company ........ and now all the same talk........

I hear what you are saying. However, How much will a current buyer have to pay for a 2006 car with 30,000 miles?

If a buyer turns up at the dealer with £62,000 in cash will they sell him the car that they have up for £85,000? I think not.

5-10 k spread I would assume from what they paid for it, all depends on prep warranty cost etc

I think that the black OTO was my last car which I sold to JCT 600 in order to buy a F12. Its a great car and the nicest one that I have seen of its type - i am biased though! Enjoy it

I was speaking to a friend in the village on saturday night at a dinner party

he bought a 612 18 Months ago - privately, so took a risk - but obviously had it extensively looked over

he knew that it would need some expensive suspension work done in the near future - which he has just done

he paid 57K for it - it is the GTS model, and had 32K miles on it when he bought it - I think it is a 2007 model - but am not totally sure (I can check)

I thing they look suburb - and remind me of the 456, especially the back (although I probably prefer the 456 if pushed)

the pics were taken yesterday - he asked if I wanted to go for a spin - as it was dry and he his going to put it away for the winter and I had not been in it before, although had looked round it in his garage when he got it

it suited me because I needed to go to get some paint/rollers. lol, so off we went to the local diy shop

very linear power deliver, obviously fast - but not neck snapping so (maybe deceptive)

he said he keeps a spreadsheet and monitors the prices too - reckons he has not lost much if anything - even with the suspension work

edited to add re prices - for a dialled in investment he reckoned the FF V12, as he suspect it will be one of the last ever made, and the zenith of V12 design
