The left-hooker at Silverstone Auctions on Saturday made £50k hammer so £56,500 with premium.

I thought the interior colour was a bit rubbish and it was quite leggy at 46,000 miles

Be interesting to see if it pops-up for sale or was a private buy.

Its a ten year old car at the bottom end of the market so of course its been used........having said that the evidence of other cars using that engine series is that it is barely run in let alone 'leggy' - more and more are realising that they only seem to come alive at 50 000 miles

By "leggy" i meant the miles it's covered compared to around 30k (or less) of most similar aged cars out there.

I have no doubts that the engine is fine.

Is that not a Swiss registered car so you would have to pay 20% VAT on top?

That being the case would also incur 10% ? import duty

From the auction bumf:

"has recently been UK registered and is complete with a fresh MoT."

so presumably it had already had the Duty & VAT paid by whoever imported it.

IIRC Swiss car imports don't attract import duty under a deal with the EU
