It's a MANUAL car, very very rare. IIRC, only 40-odd made.
Didn't I say that?43 LHD manual and around 17 RHD manual.
My RHD F1 575M is actually rarer than my LHD F1 SA....in terms of production numbers. Both are rarer than F40s in terms of production numbers too...
On the roof issue, the biggest problem is 'delamination' of the roof. It isn't so much delamination as a bleeding of the photochromic liquid in the roof. A tad unsightly but has no other effect at all.

Yes, you did. I was merely underlining that the manual was the reason it got the price it got.43 LHD manual and around 17 RHD manual.

Meridien Modena used the above as an example to demonstrate the value of a car they're selling, which is an F1 and RHD. I think it an odd comparison, kind of like saying the sale of the manual LHD 599 for $682k somehow makes a RHD F1 599 a bargain at £400k....which of course, it doesn't.

I made that point on another social media site. And another similar manual lhd car with even less miles sold recently for over £400k, so the evidence is there to support the auction value. An F1 RHD is over £300k now with LHDs at the £250k mark. How much is the Meridien car priced at? c£370k. I think it's poor form for a respected establishment like this to flag in incomparable car to underline the value of something their selling that may or may not be priced optimistically. Mind, how many people would think it a fair comparison?P.S. I hear that the story may have been pushed out and is now expected to appear in issue 153 which happens to be the March issue to be published on Weds 27th Jan 2016!
Good timing as it is 10 days before this similar looking (albeit LHD and ultra low kms) car goes under the hammer at Bonhams in Paris...

Interesting that this car was £200k a week or two back and hadn't sold for a long time. Does the above article justify £50k price hike or is the hope that someone will 'grab themselves a bargain' by getting a few quid knocked off the new asking price?
It's a great looking thing but given you can have a comparable car, albeit with a few more miles, for about 40% of that price, is this seen as priced appropriately? If it was 300 miles or something, maybe, but surely it's too 'used' to be mothballed?

Just spotted another with FHP for EUR 285 000 http://www.autoscout24.com/offers/ferrari-575-m-ma...

We found a dead and largely dessicated rat in the engine bay of the 575 on our Le Mans trip this year, are rats standard equipment or is it because this car had been de-catted
The car had just been serviced by a Ferrari main dealer surprised they didn't notice it.
Awesome car but very wide
Photo of the ex rat (spoilered so you don't have to see the yuk thing if you don't want to)
You had a lucky escape. One of the previous owners of my 550 was not so fortunate. It would appear that rodents are quite fond of Maranello engine bays as places to nest. In his case, the rodent concerned managed to chew through one of the cambelts (I think - I can't remember the specifics without looking up the paperwork) and so when he started the car the engine blew up, necessitating a rebuild at a cost of around £10,000.The car had just been serviced by a Ferrari main dealer surprised they didn't notice it.
