Cost?!?!

That car will have fetched over a million.... and cost some way less than half that.

Didn't get quite to that point. Over doubled their money though is all I will say. Not putting a specific figure on it though...
Obviously wasn’t a ‘keeper’ after all then....the smell of a quick buck put an end to that haha.

at list I would love one, at current prices no chance - too many cars I'd much rather have at those prices incl Ferraris such as an F40

not many imo, the 430 to scud, 360 to cs, 599 to gto and 458 to the spec were all appreciable differences which could be used.

I wouldn't even have a tdf @ list tbh
I agree with you in terms of being able to use the performance increase - but ironically this is the limited edition car with the most changes from the base model e.g. rear screen etc

Not at all, they fully intended to keep it, track it and had euro tours planned. Building a big pad abroad to retire to was more important though.
Difficult of having it however long to turn it down when profit is tax free...

crazy that from the same dealer instead of the tdf for the same price you can have all of these:

Huracan Performante
458 Speciale
Aventador SV
Masterati Quattroporte

2manycarz whom lots of you will no doubt follow in Instagram has recently bought a stunning blue one which he admitted was give or take a million quid.

Mr JWW has also just picked up a delivery miles red one which must have been similar money.

The values mean that these have largely been consigned to being investments and will rarely be driven by most owners. Sad.

I'd far rather an 812 and about £700K in change.

You miss the point entirely. Buyers of a TDF in the secondary market have those cars or similar already . Hence why the TDF commands such a premium. It’s not a choice of “either or” but all of them please and the TDF too.

I assume you really mean ''might'' not ''will''. The tdf owners I know happily use their cars because it's a monstrously epic drive.

JWW paid £850K.

At least he will use it though!

Camlet - keep smashing it! Love these things being used as Ferrari intended not locked up in a car gallery...

not missing the point, I think they're not good value for money and was illustrating that. more understandable @ list price but even so not for me

I've not driven an 812 but a couple of reviewers have stated they're similar to the TDF in experience ?
