Anyone gone up one size in the width from the Standard 599 tyres - i see threads in the US which have and its opened up a lot more tyre choices so i'm thinking of doing it in the spring and trying some PS4's from Michelin as the Pzero's are frankly rubbish.

Go from OEM 245 to 255 Front and 305 to 315 in the Rear.

Interested in anyones thoughts if they have done this in the UK.

Aware of the Insurance implications etc and will make them aware if i do.

Hughesie.

I went up a size on my rears and the improvement was noticeable.

Didn't know you had to inform insurance companies about this...?

Any modification which diverts from factory spec should be declared - in your case how do you or your insurers know that a non-standard tyre and tyre size (hence homologated tyres based on factory development) is actually suitable for your car ?

Like so much in life today its all about liability.........
