550 Maranello air plenum refinishing

Has anyone refinished their air plenums? Mine have started to flake, so I might bite the bullet and have a go myself. Any advice appreciated?
I'm not concerned with the painting part (I've got VHT paint etc), it's getting it off the car I'm more concerned about. I had a quick look on Saturday, how much of a faff is it? Do you need new gaskets or can you re-use the existing ones as it's just an air seal?
If it's a huge ballache I'll just leave it to the service, but if it's straightforward (i.e. just the bolts I can see) I might give it a go
