Thanks. The Aston has a similar problem. Can't leave it more than 4 weeks before it's spaffed its battery. Is there an official Ferrari unit (I don't even know why I'm asking this) or do folks use a third party unit that is the same but without the badge ;-)
I use a c-tek one, think the ferrari ones are just rebadged c-tek oneshttps://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ctek-Ferrari-Battery-Ch...
Had mine for 3 years now and had the gearbox oil seal fail, £8k for that joy. No rust issues around rear louvers, at least yet, some cars do, some don't. No other issues, so overall it's a pretty reliable car given the performance. Sense of occasion is great, and looks way better than an 812. It does not feel that fast though after you get used to it....extra, 150 bhp or lose 100kg would be nice. Bad rear tyres and you are risking your life, due to free revving v12 it can let go so fast you won't catch it... the rubber must be in tip top shape and warm, then all is well.

Good to know - thanks. I have a Supercharged Atom - 310Bhp in 500Kg - so performance is something I'm used to - same problem with the tyres. Anything less than dry and hot and you're dicing with death
Apparently no one mentioned, so here it goes. Keep a alternator belt always with you and if you can the official instructions to change it, not a difficult job, but pebbles have a way to lodge themselves in-between the belt and ripping it appart.
Any mechanic can change it, as it is quite simple and accessible, so at least keep a belt.
Another thing to keep is a bottle of oil, they hold quite a lot but they do consume quite a bit as well (as they should really, high revving, big v12 engine is ought to) and only warn when it's dangerously low.

Hero! Thanks for the data. Any mechanic can change it, as it is quite simple and accessible, so at least keep a belt.

Would the Ferrari aftermarket warranty cover this? Had mine two years in March and Fez are trying to sell me one and I’m struggling to see why you would (sinking fund / self finance more me) but this has alerted me to why you would. Small Car said:

Nope. Seals and gaskets are excluded from the New Power warranty (as are a host of other things and their final ‘get out’ is that they can claim ‘abuse’ and refuse the claim). The simple answer is to self insure. Don’t believe the scare stories the dealer will tell you - it’s all just a ploy to get your warranty money.
