Hi, have any of you been watching the auction for the dealer sign on Collecting Cars?! That’s a serious garage sign now given it’s nearly £7k plus commission!

Am sure it would look quite cool in a garage of bar type space, but that’s a lot of money for a sign ...

I was slightly taken aback by what the sign sold for as I was watching it (I have the same sign but without the frame & not quite as "mint" condition wink )

The one auctioned was a copy? I see there's various 'repro' Ferrari signs on eBay.

The sign I have is definitely original....my uncle had a dealership in the Midlands in the 1980s & it came from there when they closed down (albeit the actual frame/illuminated bits were left on the front wall of the garage) wink The one auctioned by CC was apparently new “old stock” from Italy I believe which is why it fetched over £7k.

I have original Ferrari and Aston Martin signs. Garage is currently being worked on then they'll go up on the walls.

I was watching it too and thought it would be £3k but obviously I'm out of touch. Its provenance didn't seem that good either.
