Luckily we have all our weekly shopping delivered to us. Went for a drive today with my son however since we live on the West Wales coast the holiday traffic was horrendous. We might as well have been driving a Prius.irked
First time I parked the 812 in a public car park as I wanted to take a leak but left my son in the car as security. I think I love it as much as you love your F12.thumbup

Why would you make yourself look a tt deliberately? You would have to be a monumental cock to put that on your car.

I have to disagree.

I absolutely love what Novetic do to the V12 Ferrari models (both kit and exhaust).

I didn’t watch the whole thing, but he seems to be saying that the reason to get a GTS is to get the retractable back window? So that’s a £150K option on an 812SF…

I agree, I think the review focussed too much on the noise so that he didn’t like the fact it was altered by the roof being open. Plus the usual moan about Apple Car Play. The GTS is not going to appeal to the same people as the SF. Not one of his best reviews, too fluffy.

This makes sense. I briefly considered the GTS but when i saw both side by side at my dealer i much preferred the Superfast. I'm not comfortable driving around in a Ferrari open top as i feel too self conscious. Funnily enough i feel Ok in my SF as my head is hidden from view when driving by pedestrians. There is also a cost with the GTS in less leg room as the seat doesn't go back as much as the SF.
Another point i had against the GTS was the sheer weight of it. My SF is heavy enough in a Supercar without another additional 120Kg to contend with most of which is set high up on the car.
There is no way i'll upgrade to the GTS in the future. In fact i can't think of another Supercar i'd want to change my SF for.. Another interesting point is since i placed a deposit on mine early June they seem to have increased in prices by £10k..

I had exactly the same dilemma. Happy I went with the SF. Theres also 5-6 low miles GTS creeping onto the 2nd market, so they can't be that much of a slam dunk for the original owners.

I’m not going to disrespect the GTS as it’s an epic car. I spent 24 hours in the dealer demo but it was simply a no go on driver leg room. My SF is already a little tight, even with the race seats. To be honest, I was never going to buy one for the basic fact that it didn’t feel worth an additional (at the time I bought) £140k more. The GTS’s I was offered were cancelled orders which had been spec’ed up to between £365-£400k, an amount which I’m just not comfortable spending on a car.
I’ve always thought the 812 was a great buy at £250k or less and I think this is where the GTS will end up in a year or two. Can’t really justify (read not rich enough!) to stomach that type of depreciation.
For me, even at the same price, I’d choose the SF, but can totally understand why others may disagree.

The leg room thing is very interesting about the GTS.
Leg room is something I tend to find is more and more of an important factor to me. I was a little surprised at the F12 and its leg room, its only just enough for me even with the seat right back.

Sounds like the GTS is bang out for me then. Amusingly the 4C fit me like a glove and leg room was perfect.

There is a big difference between the legroom between the GTS with Full electric seats we sat in and my SF with Racing seats. One of the first comments my 6'2'' son said was how much more room he had compared to our 488 especially legroom.
I thought the GTS was a stunning looking car but way too much money for me at about £125k more than what my SF cost.

Nice spec, blue tdf, forged racing wheels, crema or sabbia, but standard seats with quilted backrests. I think the carbon sports seats are the ones to go for, though whether the thinner backrest allows you to set the seats further back, I don’t know. Interesting that not many cars have exterior carbon. It needs to be all or nothing and is ludicrously expensive if you tick all the boxes. Not me!

I have the normal seats in mine and it’s a tight fit , being a lanky sod. Never tried the race seats but hear they are good for taller humans.

The residuals on the GTS put me off, felt like they had quite far to fall, although currently seem to be holding up pretty well, but then so is everything else so not necessarily representative of where they will end up in 6-12months. Never sat in one either so by the sounds of it I wouldn’t fit so all a moot point !!

Does sound like the standard seats (in whatever trim) are a non -starter in the GTS. I’m only 5-10 but badly proportioned and need a seat which sits low in the car and the carbon racing seats are ideal, especially without the £1400 plastic lever which means they sit lower still.

I certainly take your point about depreciation, easy on the options, especially.

Probably very subjective, but all of the GTS I've seen look a lot more supercar grand-tourer in terms of look/spec/colouration, whereas the SF is a lot more straight supercar. As a result the SF looks a lot more youthful/purposeful (to my eyes at least). I'm not quite ready for a pipe and slippers...
