Probably very subjective, but all of the GTS I've seen look a lot more supercar grand-tourer in terms of look/spec/colouration, whereas the SF is a lot more straight supercar. As a result the SF looks a lot more youthful/purposeful (to my eyes at least). I'm not quite ready for a pipe and slippers...
Really good way of putting it.. They are surprisingly different despite sharing the same mechanicals, platform, badge etc. If I was about five years older I might prefer the GTS but right now at the ripe old age of 55 it's the Superfast that makes my heart flutter.cloud9

In which case my forthcoming GTS will suit this 66 year old pensioner rather well!!

Hope nobody minds me adding a couple of pictures.
One illustrates why I prefer the practicality of the SF I.e. I can fit 2 sets of golf clubs in the boot for trips!
I love the Ferrari build picture, always a nice memento..
The final captures the beautiful interior of my 812…. Fit and finish seems a step above any of my previous Ferrari’s.
Just can’t stop driving it……
Only small issue, apart from the apparent hole in the fuel tank, is it’s inability to take fuel at full pump rate without cutting out. It’s a good finger work out trying to hold the pump trigger on about 61% for the age it takes to fill up. I thought Ferrari had fixed this issue on by the 488, but this seems as tricky to fill as my F430. Are they all like this?

Hi Gary
I love the interior colour combo on yours which complements the outside perfectly. Grigio and Giallo Combo unbeatable on Ferraris IMO.
Concerning the hole in the fuel tank, well mine seems to suffer as well !. I put fuel in mine on Saturday and had no issues with the pump not being allowed to operate at full speed. Its important to put the nozzle in all the way before commencing refuelling. There is also a wide disparity between the speed various UK fuel stations pumps operate at, some are slow and some are as fast as the F1 pumps.
Mine was virtually out of fuel when i topped it up which might be a factor. How low was yours when you put fuel in it.? !

Does the yellow leather under the central air nozzles cause a reflection in the windscreen?

Love that yellow and black interior scheme.
Hate the race seats though.

No not at all, this area doesn't reflect in the windscreen.... I did try another 812 with the yellow leather accents, but with the addition of a band on the centre top of the dash and around the top-edge of the drivers binnacle. This reflected quite badly in bright sunlight, but was minimised by the use of polarised sunglasses (I was told by the dealer anyway). I'm sure you'd probably get used to it and wouldn't be an issue, but if ordering from factory probably as well to keep in black/dark colour (as mine has). If the perfect used car came up, I guess you could always have it re-trimmed quite easily.

I know both Graypaul & DL have been advising clients ordering to be careful with dash top colours and reflections over last year or so after feedback from some owners re this.

Think I had about 40 miles left.. so probably 1/3 of a tank left laugh I think that I may not have put the nozzle in all the way, thinking this way help, but probably hindered. My friendly local Shell dealership has rapid new pumps so that may be the reason. Yet another fill up is pending so I’ll work on perfecting my technique tomorrow!

I have to admit that my 812's first owner had specified the Grigio Chiaro band on the top-edge of driver's binnacle but not on centre top of dash which is a big mistake as it does reflect on the windscreen in bright sunlight. I have sort of got used to it however will look at ways of making it darker at some point.

What MPG do you 812 boys think you are getting?
I think I’ve sneaked over 20 in the F12 when I was doing very light throttle Mway run on first picking her up last month.

My guess is 10-12 mpg. But as a friend of mine once said, if you cringe when you’re filling it up, you bought the wrong car. So I try not to think about it. To be honest the Mrs G63 is probably even worse…

This may be a Ferrari quirk, my Cali was exactly the same. Trick seemed to be to not put the nozzle all the way in (no jokes please), and only partly depress the trigger (and again). Definitely dependent on where you went though, some definitely pump faster than others (oh, I give up, laugh all you like).

I never ever brim my Ferraris as i prefer to top up with fresher fuel on a regular basis, rather than have degrading fuel in the car. The one exception is if i have an imminent long journey ahead. I have no idea on the MPG on my Ferraris which is just as well they don't show it on the dash.biggrin

Lovely car.

I'm a West walian, there can't be many 812s past st clears so I've asked my old man to watch out for you( I live in England and can't)

Anyway, Id feel rather upset if you left this car enough that the fuel went off..... Hope you put some miles on it

I've got a few other cars and really busy with my business which limits my free time. I'm nervous about filling my Sports cars to the rim as i got caught out last March with my RS. I filled it up with Esso Supreme 99 just before our second Welsh lock down last October when i Sorn'd it which lasted until March by which time the petrol had degraded to the point my car was affected. It played hell with the ECU until i managed to burn the fuel off..

I sorn cars over winter and without being too obsessive about it, run the fuel down in advance and then top them up with fresh fuel when I put them back on the road.

I’ve noticed with my F8 that it thinks there is less fuel in the tank than there actually is, red segment on, car has given up displaying the range. I then fill it up, car takes much less than the expected amount and the last segment in the gauge doesn’t light. Need to do some more tests over future fills. Never a problem with my 488 being filled at the same place.

Just put a deposit down on an 812 and picking it up end September. Can’t wait! Also went for a Rosso Fuoco car.

I have a question regarding tyres. I assume those with 812’s are mostly running on the Pirellis. Has anyone switched to Michelin? As I don’t collect the car until late Sep I am wondering if Michelin’s are better suited up in Scotland.

Great colour for a 812 and cost over £17k when new. I'm debating what tyres to fit on mine sometime end October when my annual service is due. Michelin MP4S K1 are firm favourites ATM but might put some winters on instead.
