CS at an auction. Always interesting. I don't think they're selling like hot cakes like they used to...

Anyone know this car?

Leather interior (as opposed to alcantara) and it looks a little tired on the inside to me?

This was at auction a couple of months back and didn't sell. It's been for sale at Mayfair prestige for a long time too. Seats are not CS... 430 seats I think.

As for selling I did notice that the lovely Mirabeau blue one at octane is no longer there so I presume it's sold. The owner did post on this thread a little while ago too saying he would put it on for sale. I think it took about 9 months.

much more palatable at £130k, paying a £100k premium over a 360 is hard to stomach for a cs imo

I love them and if I hadn't been so young when they were originally released and actually had money I wouldn't of blinked at spending an extra £30k over the 360 to buy one! it's just £100k is a lot of money imo

a different beast, all worth it to me (and others who recently bought)

I dont know the spreads on the Scud (vs F430) and Spez (vs 458) but i suspect the spreads are quite large there as well.
Different cars, models, philosophy

Same can be said about Porsches and their "911" RS line

CS is one of those cars that erases all memories of the 360 I had. It is so completely different in delivering the driving experience. It is underestimated, but that is starting to change as more and more classic car articles place it towards the top of wish lists.
I would honestly take the 650 mile 2005 blue car up for sale at £249,360 over a new McLaren 720S.

That's a lot! You sure? That's bonkers to drive it to that much wear...everything else the same?

Perhaps they meant 97% remaining.

That's how the readout works, its the amount remaining not used.

That said its not a 'measure' its an 'estimation' and needs to be referred to with caution as it can be re-set by someone unscrupulous!

I'd only believe '97%' if there was accompanying paperwork for replacement clutch to back it up.

When I bought my Scud brake figures were something like 83% & 90% (remaining) but car had been used on track and health check revealed discs were breaking up. Dealer (Indie) agreed to have complete new discs & pads fitted which he did, but he didn't have the necessary kit to re-set the wear indicators so my car has got brand new discs yet readout says something like 83% & 90%

Lesson to be Learnt - Clutch & Brake wear figures should be treated with caution and not taken as gospel. Cross check with paperwork and physically check (easier with brakes than clutch I know)

Yes aware of that, just wondering if they stated it incorrectly.

Yes it did sell at close to asking price.

It's the other way around - the SD2 reports wear used. If it was reporting 97% then the clutch would be at the end of its life.

Brakes are also reported as wear used.

Ooops! You're absolutely right Voicey bow

I've just checked my car's health check report from Dick Lovett and my brakes were 16% (worn) according to the readout but needed changing because they were breaking up when visually inspected.

Apologies for giving everyone a bum-steer. I'll go and hide my head in shame....
