Considering a 308, what will £40K buy ?

You'r probably right. Wouldn't cost that much to return to standard I guess. And with the rate 308s are going up in value, it'll no doubt be worth it for the lucky owner.
You try to price up Vetro trim....very difficult to come by. I think you'd need to spend £5k minimum. Plus, what else isn't right? I'll be there to check....rubystone said:

Hadn't thought about the fact vetro seats were different. Potentially could be very expensive to put right. make sure you report back what it sells for and how it looks.Jonty355 said:

Not so much the seats but what other trim was thrown away when they decided to either race it or trick it out as a pseudo racecar? I will indeed report back on it.no Vetro, but a rather nice example. Anyone brave enough to ask the price?

The 1976 Blue 308 GTB 'Vetroresina' was sold at the H&H Auction this afternoon for £82500 plus the fees (£94400 if my maths is correct).
Indeed. Nice car too.very clean, current owner (Carl) owned it for last 20 years.Needs partial or full paint but original trim comes with care. All the important bits of unique exterior trim are nice too.
I didn't buy it BTW... as I said, I am not greedy :-)
Sold to a telephone bidder..

Hmmmmmmm ........... Allegedly there was a blue Vetrorosina bought only last year by an (ex?) official of the FOC, off an old guy who had owned it for a very very long time, for the princely sum of ................. £20k
That wasn't this car. Current owner has had it for 20 yearaGassing Station | Ferrari Classics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
