You'r probably right. Wouldn't cost that much to return to standard I guess. And with the rate 308s are going up in value, it'll no doubt be worth it for the lucky owner.
going to pop along and take a look at it , will let you know

You try to price up Vetro trim....very difficult to come by. I think you'd need to spend £5k minimum. Plus, what else isn't right? I'll be there to check....

Hadn't thought about the fact vetro seats were different. Potentially could be very expensive to put right. make sure you report back what it sells for and how it looks.

Not so much the seats but what other trim was thrown away when they decided to either race it or trick it out as a pseudo racecar? I will indeed report back on it.

In what way do the vetro seats differ from the carb 308 seats?

no Vetro, but a rather nice example. Anyone brave enough to ask the price?
(I have no connection to the seller)

Posted a comment yesterday under the 328 GTS/GTB thread about the 308 GTS Mr Walker has for sale - realised would have better been placed here. Think the car has only recently appeared in the PH Classifieds but may have been on his web-site previously.

The 1976 Blue 308 GTB 'Vetroresina' was sold at the H&H Auction this afternoon for £82500 plus the fees (£94400 if my maths is correct).

Indeed. Nice car too.very clean, current owner (Carl) owned it for last 20 years.

Needs partial or full paint but original trim comes with care. All the important bits of unique exterior trim are nice too.

I didn't buy it BTW... as I said, I am not greedy :-)

Sold to a telephone bidder..
