Will you be putting new tyres on it? They're a little old.

Ah someone just beat me to it. I too was going to mention the 13 and a half year old tyres!

Also, surely you are going to put a new nut on the track rod end. All that lovely new shiny stuff and then that. (Well it looks a little rusty in the photo - apologies if it's not)

Jokes and pedantry aside, thanks for sharing the photos and the work being undertaken, always enjoy watching these little journeys.

Cheers
SS

New tyres, absolutely. As you said, they are pretty old!

I think a new nut will be going on that bit you mentioned after the brakes get rebuilt.

Thanks for the comments.

This car looks similar to my testarossa that i bought in 2004.
The registration number was H599MPE. Is it the same car ?
I can give you some history if so, all positive.

Indeed it is!

Always interesting to find out the history of these cars.

As you have separated the motor from the transmission, are you going to replace the diff carrier? It's potentially a ticking timebomb in the Testarossa!
Very interesting thread .

Im sorry but I can't carry on this thread, or the Countach thread, as apparently a few people have complained about them to the moderators and I have been asked to stop.

I will stick a link up to another forum shortly where you can follow the progress if you like.

I will carry on the Countach thread on here: http://www.luxury4play.com/lamborghini/155345-coun...

The TR thread will be in the Ferrari section on there too.

I have been given the reason but I dont think I can say. Sorry.

Seems like someone has found a "similar" restoration of a testarossa and has been able to post some pics up on the testarossa thread within the classic ferrari section.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Like I said, I will carry the threads on over on L4P, or I could email people some photos if they liked?

so a car rebuild thread on a car enthusiast website gets stopped, what ever next. Time for someone somewhere to consider pleasing the Majority over the minority.
