Real shame and a waste, I sold it to the owner. He adored it.

Tragic. Bad enough seeing a prized modern car like this but a car with such historic and sentimental value is really saddening. And whilst it's easy for some to dismiss it as 'just a car' they may never have been through the relative pain of a fraught and drawn out restoration of an older car, the eye-watering repair bills, the loving attention to details to keep it 'just so' or the feeling of seeing the result of years of work and effort finally sitting in one's garage. I'd be devastated.

I'm far from knowledgable on these, but just a thought.... with the 'insured' values on these probably sitting at around £7-800k at present, is there any chance it will be deemed economical to repair? Surely a more advantageous option for everyone (if possible)?

I appreciate it would be 1000+ work hours, parts would probably need to be refabricated let alone just bought in, but even with all that could it not still be rebuilt for less than the pay out figure?

I wonder what happened to the wreckage of Jon Hunt's Miura after that went up in flames. Does anyone know?
