btw anyone know what happened to the F50 that the auction house was looking after when that kid was tragically killed?
It was a storage company, not an auction house IIRC (unless they were storing it for an auction house).

Trial begins 19 February.

Which auction house, Ed? Pm me if you don’t want to make it public...
It's no secret, Mark. Silverstone.

I've spoken more about it in this thread:

BoxerF50 and traxx, thanks for extra information. Traxx that's exactly the sort of car I'm trying to make sure I avoid. The problem is this type of evidence just proves it's possible to build an F40 from a start point of nothing but a VIN number and get the Ferrari Classiche. If it wasn't for the well documented past of this car who out there can inspect one and know. There will be other cars like this but without the very public evidence to be sure.
My pleasure. In terms of a checking on a specific VIN, Marcel Massini has detailed files on a huge number of Ferraris.

Thanks for the advice and pointing me in the right direction for the experts on these cars. I've now successfully secured a car I'm really happy with. :-)

Would love to know more about the buying process - with such a valuable asset you have to be careful.

Do you have any pics, please?

I'm hoping someone can help me find a Ferrari F40 group page. I have a beautiful set of US spec F40 seats available and I'd like to find them a new home. Anyone have a suggestion? Thanks in advance.

Suggest you list them on Ferrari Market Letter.
