I saw that a blue 6,000 miles car sold for less than £101,000
The listing held some interesting details. It had previously been crashed/repaired and had been recently found to have a crack in the chassis. God knows what else was wrong and not listed. I was max £80k bid on it and only because I was going to tear it apart for a project.Incidentally, it is worth noting that, when it was offered at Silverstone Auctions May 2016 sale, it was described as "...one of the very best examples available, being in superb condition...". No mention of any accident then. So, caveat emptor and at least the Collecting Cars listing did mention the turbulent history of the car.

Thanks Voicey. I was underbidder and it looks like I might have dodged a bullet! This could have been expensive for me.
I thought it looked pretty tasy so did some basic online due dilligence. Googling the VIN was rather revealing. edit: As alluded to above, the CC seller seemed very open about the history so this wasn't a dig at CC.I also thought it might be worth a shot as a keeper at £80k.
