I do like that. The chrome effect is different
That guy took a pic of my car the day before - and tried to charge me £20 for the pleasure of a copy. Good photos though.

LOL

I just wish I could get a picture to capture it correctly and do it justice. I've tried loads of photo's unsuccessfully now but admittedly light conditions haven't been great.

My photo's are usually pretty good but I think I'm going to need a professional on the case with this one for some reason.

When I first enquired about the car I did say to the dealer after looking at his photo's is it a reddy orange or an orangey red they were that bad. He said its full on bright red but it just won't photo that way. Strange ? I think it may also be screen/monitor settings as one of my computers makes the same photo look a lot brighter.

I also like the baby blue photo's evn though its a "soft" colour but I'm not sure I'm brave enough to live with it and the attention it would get
Same with mine. It is not as dark as the pics in the day.
Actually it changes bloody colour every time i look at it lol

Some of the special colours manufacturers use these days are virtually impossible to photograph, they change with the light and the colour varies as you run your eye along the panels, a camera taking a single snapshot in time simply can't do it justice.

agreed
there's a car in a very similar hue that regularly parks by our drive
the exact shade of red really depends on the early morning light
i might try and sneakily photograph it so you can see what i mean...

Thanks for that. Not too sure about the dodgy commentary from the 2 old gits driving it but they seemed to be enjoying themselves.

It turns out that the LP570-4 Performante Edizione Tecnica is actually common as muck though as I thought I had 1 of 4 and now it turns out to be total of FIVE red ones. God damn it

What a car ! The new CS for sure

My neighbour has a 13 plate Performante in Red.

Oh well, it seems he decided to chop in the car above and has switched to some V12 action.

Loving that. Having dismissed a Ferrari Challenge Stradale as being too old and slow for £160k that look like a possibility if I can find one.

How do they compare with the superleggera coupe ?

Better as you can put the roof down.

No real downsides unless you plan on doing lots of track days and prefer the rigidity of a coupe.

LP570-4 is the new Challenge Stradale.

Red Performante at Edinburgh within your budget at £155k if you want to join the club

even at halfway sensible speeds, the coupe and spyder feel very different : you need to drive both, and preferably in dryish conditions

Would you care to elaborate ?

Reviews I have read suggest the difference is minimal even with extreme driving.

ime the spyders never quite feel as sharp steering or as communicative as the coupes
i'm sure that you can dial some of this out with individual setup, but that 2nd-gear gallardo understeer and medium-speed "stodge" always feel more pronounced too
i've now driven about 40k gallardo miles spread across six cars : 2007/8 sl is my favourite as it has the 4wd indomitability with less obvious understeer. it also just happens to make the best noise biggrin

If you can track down a Squadra Corse in the Uk that would be worth keeping, along with the PET and the previous model Super Trofeo Stradale. Sadly Lambo made far too many special editions. They need to make one/two performance versions for the next car like Porsche/Ferrari. I like the Pet and Sc apart from the rear spoiler which looks an after thought. Few cars can look so good after 10 years in production.
