It's so stunning I'd be embarrassed to take it out. I'd want to park it in my living room. It's modern art.

With the impending arrival of the Huracan in showrooms, anyone care to comment on the effect it will have on Gallardo prices ?

I think it'll largely depend on how well it's received in the market.
If it's a game changer and real step on from the Gallardo, then G prices will fall
However, if it's the same deal but in a new frock, then the core market won't take the early jump andrices will hold within reason
Personally, I can't see Lamborghini producing anything other than a big step forwards with this, so would be looking to sell a Gallardo, if I had one, soonish if value was a concern

It'll be £200k with options, so same deal as 430 vs 458.

At £200k + and the UK allocation apparently already sold out for 2 years prices on Gallardo will hold firm or even go up. As long as Lambo don't do what Ferrari did with 458 and flood the market but that said 458 residuals appear strong although sales are slow at advertised prices

I bought a F430 spider in 2011 just after the 458 came out and over my 2 years tenure the residual was pretty damn strong for cars of this value.

As the new Lambo spyder is a further 2 years down the line and likely to be circa £220k at the time I think Gallardo spyders will be very strong for the next 3 years.

There is a big difference between the number of folk prepared to pay £100k and £200k for a car.
Bottom end Gallardo's at £60k will always be desirable to people entering the supercar market and will underpin the rest of the newer models IMHO.

My tip of the day is bag yourself a bargain and future classic - LP570-4 Performante

fwiw, my dealer told me that the new huracan will be nearer 250k by the time you've added metallic paint and the glass engine cover

something of a mute point, since i read on the internet that it's actually sold out until summer 2016. at least

as for the spyder, no rhd models for over three years apparently. 300k by the time you've added the essential finestre nere and piastre divertenti packs

all good news for the £60k cars, as would be buyers then fight to buy eight year old cars instead

however, if sir would be interested in this unsellable resale red future CLASSIC that we've had here for while...

Think it looks lovely.... Green not ithaca though, too dark....

Really think this is an. Evolution of the gallardos lines rather than revolution, much less different than say 430 to 458.... A testimony to the gallardo,s original lines, so this will help residuals IMHO...

Not too baby aventador, love the rear wings being murci like...

That would make it very close in price to a 12-18 month old Aventador. I would have thought 180k+options would have made better sense.

That said, Lambo obviously know better given they've already sold out.

It's a stunning car.

Help please.......

I have my name down for one of these and want to understand a little more about the possible depreciation curve on this type of car , it would be my first "Supercar".

I would hope to see a car before the 3rd quarter of 2015. My understanding from talking to my dealer (only) is this : there are 7 UK dealers , each getting 4 cars initially , making the first annual allocation 28 cars ! I got the impression this would ramp up in year 2 , maybe double , meaning my car would be one of the first 84 UK cars . If I sold after 2 years (ie 3.5 years into the cars life cycle) with 6,000 miles on the clock , what would my £k 200,000 initial "Investment" be worth to a dealer ? I am guessing that by this time there would be roughly 190 or so in the UK ( I have assumed the 3rd year production might be double year 2 )

I realise this is an impossible question to ask - but I suppose I wondered based on peoples previous experiences of other supercar ownership what the consensus was - am I going to loose £k 100 , £k 50 or £k 25 - just wanted a bit of scale really .

Cheers smile

Wild guess but I would imagine you would lose between 50 and 75K, I would aim to do more mikes and enjoy it.

I was in the London showroom last week and was informed that they are the No 1 selling showroom in the world....100 cars a year. That could be new and used.

Anyway this is in the showroom.gosh!..just like the old Portman days hanging around Lamborghini showrooms haha.
