where's 227 coming from if the base of 175 already includes cf ceramic brakes, dual clutch jobby and big wheels ?

the increment from similarly equipped gallardo to huracan looks more like 10k to me

from PGT, a member that had viewed the London event....so for a Coupe with big wheels, CCBDs, leather, Nav, Music, and pearl paint, the price is? as for the 10k diff are you not referring to like for like when new....? I still say it will be 70k plus to change spec for spec...against a 570SP/4.

The biggest prob for the new car imv is the LP700, much to close on price,I would expect a flat trade by the time the new car hits the streets, agonist a 13 reg LP700....no comparison in my view.
IMHO

gallardo 560 otr £151k
e-gear £8k
cf brakes £10k
total £169k

huracan otr £178
auto standard
cf brakes standard
total £178

qed about £9k like for like difference
( even less if you compare the 570 to reduce the gallardo's power deficit )
biggrin
missing the point, A....I have checked the price of a proper spec new car on the road is 225k.... 570-4-SP will be what 140k by the time the new one is out, so that's 70k or more to swop.....or flat trade for a 13 reg LP700......don't believe the wait list either. My understanding is that this is made at the sausage factory......nice looking car through.....
i didn't miss your point. i was just correcting your numbers smile
Just found a price list, With a spec OTR its 217k, The new 12C with same is 210K,C, 230k SP.....Along with much, much, faster 650nm Torque,
IMHO
since you now have a price list, you will be able to see the basic price with ceramics and auto biggrin

A, I never doubted that it had the above as SE, Spec for spec its 7k more than a new 12C, it will be 70k to swop from a 570/4SP,

A reasonable spec car is still going to be over £200k whichever way you look at it. Make it an equivalent LP570-4 Performante and you have got to be adding at least £20k on and more if its a tin top convertible.
So in 2 years time when a lightweight convertible may be available its going to be conservatively £230k and maybe £250k in Huracan form.
Lets say a Performante in 2 years time is worth £130k, that's a minimum £100k more to trade up or buy in.

When you see it like that LP570-4 Performantes are incredible value and you could easily argue a case for their values increasing. Personally I think they will not necessarily go up but definitely remain very strong in the short term ( 3 years )

LP570-4 is the new Challenge Stradale boys, I told you first, so buy a ticket while you can

Got £160k to spend and was thinking Ferrari Challenge Stradale as a possibility after all the hype that surrounds them - Maybe worth looking at a Superleggera then ?

If I was spending 160k I wouldn't be thinking about a CS. 160k can put you in some serious machinery.

458 Italia, MP4 12C and Superleggera are the only ones that spring to mind unless you have any other suggestions. I'm all ears

Whats wrong with a CS ?

Nothing at all, but it's old and slow compared to more modern vehicles.

If you want a real supercar the Superleggera would be the choice of those four.

Don't get me started on the CS, its a lovely car but no way can it compete in that competition. Overhyped and way overpriced IMHO and there are far better cars for less money. You would also be buying in at the peak of the market and they are due a price correction. If you decide to have one I suggest LHD is the way to go circa £100k

so very true....I had a launch 360 in 99, one of the yellow ones, kept it till the CS came out in 03...Brought 2 one to keep one to run, sold em both after a month..no faster than the normal car, just a lot of noise..IMV.

The 570/4/SP.SP, much better...maybe the best sounding engine out side F1.....pre turbo

You all be careful about what you say about the CS as their owners are sensitive souls. They will be all over this thread slagging off Lambo's and hurling personal insults and abusive language at you in an attempt to bully you off the site.

I think they have grandeurs of their status and their ego's are nearly as over inflated as their cars prices

I well recall taking my 360 in for the part ex, collecting the CS, and driving it back to the dealer within an hr, thought something was wrong with it sooooo slow, just a lot of noise......430 Scud much better car in my view....

The thing is, in these categories you will almost always get better cars as the newer models come in.
I wouldn't spend huge amounts on a 360 no matter what type it is. It's a great car but I'm not sure will ever return a value for futures.
If you want old classic you can still pick up excellent Lancia Integrales in Greece for less than 15,000 which is a far better buy and will increase for sure.

As for modern cars, they are all good. None of them make bad cars and with Audi investment the Lamborghini models have somehow managed to integrate daily driving into supercar so I'm looking forward to the hurrican arrival.
I still wouldn't buy one at launch though as I prefer cabs.

I think we are in an era when we have awesome choice with all of the supercar makers offering quality vehicles that are not replicas of each other. So many choices to suit all tastes.
