At some point towards to end of the year early next, I would expect to see a P1 Spider announced.
I really can't see McLaren doing that at. It would totally ps off many P1 customers. McLaren told customers there will ONLY be 315 cars. Then they mention a track based one and now a spider. Your exclusive high value car that you forked out just over 900K for as its apparently the best car McLaren can make at the moment is now not as exclusive, not the best and not worth as much as you thought it was. And if you back out of the deal you lose you 250K deposit and we all know how Ron likes contracts to be honored. Also, the carbon tub on the P1 includes a roof structure, unlike that of the 650S/12C. So to make a Spider they would need to redesign the tub... unlikely I'd have thought.NinjaPower said:
A mate of mine just bought a black 04 plate Gallardo for £45k.
Cheapest one so far? I've seen a few fairly cheap recently.
You will always find the odd car. High mileage, poor example or desperate seller etc ... but on the whole prices are VERY strong. Mine is at the top end of the market which I would suggest is weaker yet the trade bids dealers have offered me to tempt me out of the car have been on the up and very favourable compared with what I paid for it in October. Again its supply and demand going into the peak period.Cheapest one so far? I've seen a few fairly cheap recently.
You can't go far wrong with a carefully selected £60k car IMHO

Out of interest, how did he find it? (Autotrader? Mate? Local Dealer?)Cheapest one so far? I've seen a few fairly cheap recently.
I think, but I'm not sure, that it was a guy who buys/sells/trades the odd car from home and he just wanted a quick sale of it as he took it in PX for something.

Given the 45K one was from Motorhub it was either a Cat D or very bad condition if Motorhub's reputation is anything to go by as I have been informed by various PH'er posts. In which case the rest of the non-insurance inflicted cars are circa £55k upwards, more like £60k for decent mileage examples. I think thats fair to say isn't it?

I spent circa 9 months looking for a Gallardo, even the £60K-70K cars I saw were in poor condition/servicing neglected. The decent examples start £70K-75K and you had to be quick if you wanted one of those at that price.Gassing Station | Gallardo/Huracan | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
