Speak to Paul at PSR Automotive in Bishops Stortford too. He currently looks after a number of Gallardos including experience day machines. His attention to detail borders on the ridiculous and his rates are great - the exact opposite of some Lamborghini dealerships. I took mine there having been told I needed £3k brake work during my last service by a main dealer - aside from cracked pads (heat from trackdays) there was nothing wrong - he saved me over £2k!

The only downside is that he can't currently offer a Lamborghini stamp, so I get the car serviced at a Lamborghini dealership who couldn't give a crap about anything but their bottom line. As an owner I'd rather use a specialist but realise buyers want to see the stamps. It's retarded, you spend money getting a stamp for a stty service when you would be saving money taking the car to someone who can properly look after it... rolleyes

A mate of mine just bought a black 04 plate Gallardo for £45k.

Cheapest one so far? I've seen a few fairly cheap recently.
Out of interest, how did he find it? (Autotrader? Mate? Local Dealer?)
It was on eBay.

I think, but I'm not sure, that it was a guy who buys/sells/trades the odd car from home and he just wanted a quick sale of it as he took it in PX for something.
The Cat D one?
Sorry for the delay.

Yes it is a Cat D one. It was previously damaged by a very minor bump to the front. Wing, light, bumper etc. but as is the case with these things, was enough to write it off.

Thanks for confirming - it doesn't really define where the bottom of this market is with respect to straight "no stories" cars.

it would be interesting to know at what price point it makes sense to break a car for a few choice spare parts - 40k ???

Probably but you'd have to hang onto the parts for a while.

We'll the car was about £210k new a year ago, GRB paid £160k (?) for one in October, now they are £145k offered ( so can deal at £140k?) now. And there are 5 currently for sale. So £120k next year looks about right to me. I guess that's where the current dealer bid is.

One shouldn't assUMe ( it makes an ass out of U and not Me ). The car may have been up for £160k but I certainly didn't pay that for it being in the trade. Cap and Glasses prices which are only an indication and trend show that October was when the price bottomed out and ever since they have been on the UP and will continue to do so as we approach spring/summer. If I wanted to trade my car, and lets make it perfectly clear I DONT I could easily return what I paid for it

Also if you want to quote figures please get your facts correct - there might be 5 Performantes up for sale but only 2 are Edizione Tecnica which importantly have the carbon ceramic brakes ( £10k upgrade )
Jules just for you :

Thread should be titled "Price INCREASES on the Gallardo "

Some have intuition whilst others have the benefit of hindsight and a slice of humble pie lol

Do you guys generally find number of previous owners off-putting? -That one mentioned above has 7 previous owners! I'd hate to be trying to sell that on to owner number 9!

Sold my 2009 that had 5 owners before me (so on its 7th owner) and was a mint car.

I just assumed a lot were like me and fidget in and out of cars every 6-12 months!

Easy for an almost new car to start life on its 2nd of 3rd depending on if it was registered by a dealer and such.

Number of owners makes no odds to me............ for me its price, condition, spec, upkeep & service history.

I wouldn't particularly pay more for a one owner car and wouldn't dismiss a car with 6 or 7 owners.
