I've spoken to my local dealer ref a Huracan....and have been told the car on the road, with it's standard 20" wheels ( that I think look great ! ) DSG gearbox ( LDF ? ) a 'standard' / nco colour, and CCB is just on £186,000

Even if I add trick suspension, steering and lifting, along with nav, park assist, bluetooth, red callipers, electric seats and a clear engine lid, my car doesn't break £205,000....
I've noticed on another ( longer ) thread that there are some people quotong a figure nearer to £220.....?

I was at a ' VIP Preview ' and think the car looks fantastic. The more you walk round, the more you see in cuts, curves and slashes.
I deposited, and hopefully will see a car later 2015.

Just want to see cruise become an option for those 50mph limits...

You could get one like that but it would be a pretty low spec and I imagine pretty undesirable come resale.

Properly specced car is about 225 - 230 depending on if you add colour.

Your missing as a basic, & you could skip a couple

Nav
lifting gear
parking sensors
alarm
Elec seats
glass engine cover
multi function steering wheel
dynamic steering
dab
Bluetooth
Branding
etc
etc

Sorry didn't read what you wrote properly, so ignore most of the above, small things that you wouldn't want to be without add up a lot, and option wheels that most people will take are expensive, 205 is just taking the most minimal recommended options and I think its actually nearer to 207 and a bit more if you add alarm, if you are happy though who cares, but I would think most cars will take most of the options.

a 2 seater, 2 door car. does not need electric seats - they just add weight and for most of us, are never used as no one but us drives the car. Haven't seen one of these in the flesh, but its not a high tech car, and i would be seriously worried about spending over £200k on one when a used 458, 12C, and LP560 can be bought for a lot less. What does this car bring to the party? Its out-gunned already, and the new 12C will vapourise it next month....

I think that's some pretty fair points and I'm intrigued to see how it sells, not sure its as well as Lambo are making out, as its more off a facelift and the styling is not to everyone's taste at the rear. 215 is about the minimum spec cost I think people will be take, but what do I know.

spec for spec against the new 12C it is 3k less.....and the 12C has 50 more PS, better looking much faster and its a Spider.....This is going to struggle IMV, its in no mans land.....the 570/SP.4 is much better and 80k cheaper....

I will need electric seats as thats the only way I can get height adjustment.
I've just looked at the spreadsheet that I was send with all the current options, and I still can't get it to add up to £230k.

At the £205 mark, all I'm missing is a Bi-Colour interior, and the forged rims ( that are the same size as the standard wheels )
Don't need an alarm, as I'll have to fit COBRA anyway.

The 'new' MP4 deserves to be a good car, as the current one has had a hard time finding it's value as a used car....( I know as I took some pain there )
Anything will improve it's looks, in my opinion.

And from there, I guess that's what it's all about....different people will like different cars.
No right or wrong here.

Not knocking it, but at £200k this junior supercar segment has become very expensive and not at all exclusive. So there will be lots of pain in depreciation - thats the fact of it.

Last week HR Owen had a 63 plate, LP550-2, for £111k in white - looked gorgeous...this is the problem with the £200k+ new junior supercars - they will all end up losing £100k in a lot quicker than the dealer will ever admit!

could not agree more, after 12 months and 6-8k miles, 80-100k loss is about right, Although there is about to be new world order, in not just the Jnr super car league but, the performance car sector.....end of.....

I'm aware of that. You've mentioned it many many times.

Tell us everything you know about it.

After such a bold statement, you obviously have far more knowledge than the rest of us.

Please share it. I'd love to know more.

Why won't you say anything now? We'd all like to know as much as possible.

As for 12C, I've driven an early one.

Its a better resolved car than an LP560 but it's looks and noise weren't enough to float my boat.

Wouldn't mind having an extended test drive in the spider when the weather improves.

NDA, for a few weeks...the SP is brilliant, you get a bit more emotion with the rear window down.....

NDA?

I'm sorry, once again, I simply don't believe you.

Any supercar I buy would be a convertible, so would only go for a spider.

Although I'm tempted to do some ambitious man maths and maybe go all out for an aventador roadster in the next 18 months, if the Huracan spyder doesn't do it for me.
