As the title says does anyone know when the magazines are getting hold of the Huracan to review it please? Seems like ages since it was launched at the motorshow!

Thanks Prashan guess I will just have to be more patient, I am really looking forward to see how it performs on the road. I think the new four wheel drive, coupled with the gyroscopes, magneto dampers, dynamic steering etc will make for a potentially brilliant mix. I just hope it doesn't become too refined and still manages to keep the slightly raw feel that Lambos have compared to their peer group, glad that they have stayed with a large capacity N/A engine though.
PS hope you manage to get your rear valance sorted, great choice of colour and car!

Thanks...eventually got the car fixed yesterday. Always like the trip to their service centre to see other exoticas in different states of undress :-)

Agreed, hope the car still retains the raw factor. At the launch event, the interior was clearly leaps ahead in terms of quality and refinement than the Gallardo.

The Dealers are driving the car at an Ascari event in mid May

Should get some idea then.

Thanks for the additional info Mosi. I must be getting impatient in my old age as I thought they would be out to the press sooner than mid May. I did manage to make one of the previews in London and agree with Prashan's comments about the interior, plus I really liked the exterior styling including the rear quarters, which seem to be less popular with many people. It will be good to finally get the car on the road to see what it is capable of.
In the meantime I'm sure your Performante will keep you fully entertained, particularly like Lambos in the citrus colours, looks absolutely great, sounds even better! (Even at 6 am smile)

Huracan LP610-4. Reviewed in this week's Autocar.

Seems to be a real step up from Gallardo.

having you googled huracan first drive....... there are six or seven reviews online!!

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=huracan+first+dr...

most seem to imply it is engaging and fast but safe, too safe.... most seem to hate the variable feedback steering.... watching a track video it seems to hold an aventador to task through the twisties, and doesn;t like to drift....

Dynamic disappointments remain confined to the very extremes of its performance envelope and merely in comparison to some exceptionally talented rivals. Where it really matters this is still an exceptionally rapid and exciting car with other strengths the 458 and 650S can't match. On the road it holds its own and as a piece of design it's stunning; single minded and every bit as dramatic as you'd ever want. Leave the Dynamic Steering box unticked on the spec sheet, spend the money instead on a lairy shade of paint and let the Huracan play to its strengths.

Thanks all, I should have updated my own thread, appreciate the feedback. Would be great to hear from the new owners once they are on the road!

Just back today from driving the car at the Ascari Race Resort. I know as a Lamborghini dealer we are going to push how special the Huracan is but every dealer attending was impressed with how Lamborghini have kept the Gallardo's key strengths and moved the complete package on.

All of the time behind the wheel was on the track with 3 cars following an Aventador with a factory test driver and sure they were not going all the way and probably if generous 8/10 on what they could do, but the Huracan was well on the pace and when the drivers limits were stretched which was usually a lack of concentration, not the right gear or leaving the braking too late!,the car stepped in and consistently kept everything together.

Promise it is worth the patient wait for the demo cars to arrive and we have just had confirmation of our first customer car due to arrive late July so hoping our own car is before then.

Will post some images, first one being the first time we have seen the Grigio Titans matt paint finish

That's the best picture i have seen of the car yet, it looks in proportion there compared to other pictures i've seen. I also like the colour, i'm not usually a matt fan but that looks good.

Huracan LP610-4 in Verde Mantis that has replaced Verde Ithaca.

We have the same colour on our demo car and pleased we selected this over the Red and White, that were the other two colourd we could have ordered.

Both pics taken from the same angle. The most flattering one!

Any pic not featuring the bland rear end makes the car look better.

Do like that green though.

I think the back end is all right.... The car had a tough task.... Current design is all about lines and edges...... The 458 replaced a rounded car, the 650s has more lines than the 12c, the gallardo was ahead of its time...

I hate the rear of it, to the point I don't think I could buy one as a result.

I will wait until the spyder is released before my final decision.

But, if that's no better, I will have to scrimp and save for an Aventador.

It might need a 670sv type treatment to make it for you....

It seems to be based on the Sesto..... Maybe taking bits away to further copy the SEsto more would make a cheap mod...

Very possibly.

I think the lack of slats on the engine bay of a spyder will be a impovement.

I know they hark back to the Miura, but this is a cutting edge supercar and as such shouldn't be including a nod to the past.

They would be better in glass like an Aventador's. The black plastic looks like a cheap 70's kit car.
