Can anyone advise where the best place to get an LP560 front bumper for a 1st Gen Gallardo is in the UK? And prices if possible.

Currently looking at £2500 shipped from USA for a poly one or £1800 for a FRP one but wondering if it's best to source one from UK or Europe.

Thanks in advance!

I'd suggest buy a genuine one, it will fit better and be generally more robust

If only it was that easy, the genuine ones don't fit as the radiators are located differently and the bonnet is a different shape on the LP's!

Anything other than the RSC product is false economy. The RSC one is a PERFECT fit and very very high quality. Did you read my long thread about this?

Here is my old RSC one on a Gallardo vs a real LP560...

I've seen poor copies but RSC is a proven product built to a proper standard!

Yep I've read that, I think RSC is the way to go I guess - don't wanna mess about on a car like this.

I've spoken to RSC direct and had a quote, out of interest where did you get yours from and what did you pay? There seems to be a hefty shipping fee (circa £400) so if you know a UK supplier it would be a great help.

It was so long ago I don't remember what I paid, but I expect shipping wasn't cheap!

Have been considering some other RSC bits for my current LP560 though.

I bought an RSC bumper direct from the US. Shipping was expensive but it worked out cheaper than using one of the UK suppliers. The bumper itself is very good quality. I'll let you know how the fitting goes soon, as far as I know, from reading on various forums, the only thing you must look out for with fitting it is shimming the bumper along the bonnet shut line properly so it doesn't look like it's sagging in the middle.

I wouldn't entertain either of the other GRP versions you can get online.

Yes, I believe even with a factory bumper install it takes some time to get this right, so its worth using a bodyshop who understand and will take a little bit of time getting things lined up correctly.

Well, I finally got my bumper back from the painters and found the time to fit it.

What can I say, fitting it took approximately 5 hours start to finish, working at a leisurely pace and stopping for coffee a few times. Not too difficult a job if you're handy with a spanner. The fitment of the RSC bumper was great, no adjustments necessary, it just went on and lined up perfectly first time on the car.

All in all I am delighted with it and wouldn't hesitate to recommend their product to anyone else thinking about the update.

Please excuse the stickers which are still on from the Spa 24h.

and the temporary front plate officer...

That looks great, mine has been in the UK 2 weeks sitting in the garage where it is supposed to be fitted but for some reason despite me trying daily they can't get their act together and actually call me back to get the car in there and get it test fitted then painted!

Might go collect it and get it painted locally then fit it myself if its not too much of a task...
